I started to learn on my own several years back and did not stick with it.. The other night I was in the back yard/driveway I carry a stick I made it is 29" long made of a Cedar branch. 1 -1/2" diameter narrowing down to 7/8". Has such a nice feel to it, seems it would be the perfect sword length for me. I started a dance around my many adversaries and danced in a square taking 1 and1/2 steps then setting with a step into a horse stance and fighting stances while swinging my sword over head and shoulder then leg twirls keeping a square while defending attacking all in my square and outside of it. I imaging it is some already well know fighting pattern...?
