Thanks again Scalespeeder.. I used both yours and Don Sibley's info and did it a little different and it is working so far.. I went in and set the hens active to (0) copied all the cords in hens to both the wolves and bears under their own cords.. now I have bears and wolves spawning at those cords.. I may have to delete some of the cords on each so they aren't duplicated and don't overlap but will run it a few days like it is and see how it works out.. actually teleported myself close to the hen cords and then ran around until i hit the trigger a wolf spawned and before it was dead the bear spawned near by and only one wolf which is unusual from what I have been seeing they generally attack in groups of 3 to 8. Anyway I really like what you have been sharing. It has saved me a lot of pain staking trial and error and kept me from giving up on attempting such changes to the maps of DayZ.
No offence but after doing all this I realised you can just copy and paste the bear events children or child into the goat event so any goat event will “produce” the bear as well so you can keep both bear and goat locations as bear spawns. Same with wolf children and ambient hen..
I'm looking to spawn just a small specific set of bears in locations? Do I just add the coordinates to the territories? Also, can I change the spawn chance? I want it to always spawn in those places. Thanks in advance. Love the vids man!
Thanks again! I was looking into this on my own so as to create a profile that basically turns the server into a hunting sim for a bit of fun and roleplay. I was in the right area and idea but this is a perfect guide. Thank you once again and thank you for introducing Don. This was in Feb so I wonder if you managed to sort the custom span locations, another great idea. Could create your own DayZ PUBG by spawning all the players round a town with a stocked up rucksack. My god I love this mod. I have encountered a bear and a few wolves now in cities. How cool is that. Checking my server logs I have found a few survivors that have been retired early, also in towns. I wish I could have seen their reactions!! Lmao.
I've been messing with the numbers for the animals and it seems that the Wolves never spawn in after changing the event.xml.. I set them higher, but nothing.. Bears will take with ease and cows do too.. No wolves.. weird.. No help for the DayZ discord either..
So.. literally: making a backup and just copy the hen_territories and rename it? But hens don’t spawn in woods right? So I would like to have the original wolf spawns AND additional spawns in the south and villages as well. How do I do that?
So I recently decided to make a private server and was hoping to create an out of the way northern town as a “predator” town. I’m ok with zombies too. Any advice on how I would go about a specific location spawn event? Somewhere the most wily vets might go for the thrills and pelts (trader currency)
Is there a way to add a pack of resting wolves in a certain location and have them there all the time? I've added water & rest spawn points but not seen any of the wolves yet.
Does that mean the hens don't spawn were they would and do the Bears stop spawn were they would normally be nice if they still spawned in the wood and in towns

So I followed themethod for increasing bears, not changing their spawns, to the T and bears stopped spawning. Do I need to leave the nominal at 0 instead?
I followed the tutorial and increased my spawns but the still aren’t spawning. Seen one bear and a few wolves in the last two weeks even though I’ve increased nominal 60 min 30 still nothing 🤔
For some reason this isn't working for me. I did exactly what you said to do and even set the wolves ridiculously high so I'd see them and no luck. Should I change my static and dynamics in the territories xml file or something else?
If you open the file you need to change the name of the item name cause how he has it he just changed the file name which use to work but now you have to change the item names for things to change spawn
My server says 2 bears on the map. Will the game spawn these near players when players enter bear territory? Or will the game spawn the bears at any bear territory?
Yea did this worked great, but cant update for 1.21 as Don has put all hisDayz xml modding stuff behind a paywall which doesnt seem to work, probably youtubes fault, but still.....sigh
Question: Will setting these values to zero keep them from spawning? I love DayZ, but I am a quadriplegic in real life and wolves and bears are to much for me to handle solo (oddly enough other people and zombies aren't that bad). I just don't have the hand dexterity or quickness to be effective. I'd like to set up a private server without wolves or bears (or at least have them at an absolute minimum). Any help would be appreciated.
You could always just delete your Wolf/Bear Territories files, Just have a backup saved somewhere incase, You can also just set the max, min, nom values to 0.

im having a big issue with attachments using your files. The cars truck are spawing in empty with no wheels. zeds have no supplies and even the med kits are empty. Any ideas what i can do?
just like in the spawnabletypes.xml for your M4 and other guns making them spawn pristine, and with attachments, you have to change the "attachments chance" for each item like the tires, gas can, barrels, ect. and set that to 1.00 (100%)
I have a solution on PC. I have replaced my hens with wolves that act like real wolves. I can adjust the spawns of these new coastal wolves vs the vanilla wolves. Only down side i can see at the moment is that i no longer have chickens. If anyone needs steps let me know i'll share. I've only been doing this for 2 days on my first server so i'd hate to post bad advice but if you're in a pinch, my method is working.

You cannot call animals like you call items. If you run the animals in a seperate event other than the original event, they are broken. Effective for ALL animals. You have to effectively change the territories correctly and they will spawn where you want them. I found that when they break, or no wolves or bears show up, reset your events.xml, whichever territories you've edited, and default the edits, then work your code back in, eventually you'll get it. I have only edited the territories by replacing existing animal spawns. I.E specific chosen chicken spawns on our server will spawn a bear and its tested and working
I don't have a video I run a server as a coder for a buddy. If you run an event, say just straight copy the civiliansedan event code, or even itemplanks event, and replace the child name to the wolf's spawn name, when they spawn it's like they are fixed into place and you cannot aggro them, be attacked by them, and it even glitches trying to harvest them because surprisingly u can still just hear and walk up to them and kill them. The way to go is by going into the env folder. Picking an animal, hare is not on xbox yet I've tested this and cannot get spawns for the rabbits in so ignore those. Pick an animal you don't much care about and copy the lines of positions relevant to how many you want to boost your wolves / other animals. For any of you who want realtime help hmu at SativaSki on xbox. I've compiled an entire xml to be opened with notepad ++. It contains all of my general saved code as well as all item names implemented and removed, as well as it is a good codex to have pulled up along side of your actual code to help ensure you are not missing spaces, misspelling or give you some visual help on how it's supposed to work.

anyway did you find a fix for it? Im trying every combination of territory color and name = that I can. This video suggests that ambient hen would then be where graze would be so I changed it back to graze and now trying with the territory color from the hen
