Hot tip: If you have a sensitive bladder or general sensitivity, you should insert it with the folded part towards your back, so when it “pops” it hits downwards instead of against your bladder.

Short nails are a must

How do you girls even have space to feel for the cup inside you? Lol I feel I never have space for my cup and fingers at the same time.

It was so comforting to hear that it took you five cycles to figure it out. My third cycle with my cup is coming up this week and I’m determined to get it, but I also want to go easy on myself if I don’t.

I saw a thousand videos on how to use a menstrual cup for months before I actually got myself to use one. I have watched your videos a hundred times and I’m glad to say IT ALL REALLY WORKS!! Thanks to you I haven’t had a single leak in my entire cycle. NOT ONE SINGLE LEAK!!!!!! My period was cleaner than when i used pads; while tampons leaked 85% of the time (set aside the sharp shooting pain). With my menstrual cup, i was more active than my regular days; I sprinted, worked out, did all i can to check out the degree of “leakproof-ness”; and it worked like magic. So I’m three years late, but I had to buy a cup instead of pads or tampons in the midst of the COVID-19 freakout thanks to hoarders stocking up the the apocalypse 😭 I don’t think I’d have ever got the cup up there without this video. I wish you good karma, man!

I bought a cup with the ongoing hype about menstrual cups... I tried for two days, I couldn't even get it half way, because honestly I didn't know how to insert it properly, or I didn't know what position the cup is supposed to be inside my body. Every video in RU-vid just says 'insert it into your vagina and you're done" ., To be honest nothing infuriates more than that sentence! I was almost on the verge of giving up when I saw your video, it's my third day today and I am going to keep trying until I get it right, thanks to you. Really! The part where u explain, hold the cup until the bend is inside and then slowly maneuver it with fingers.. that's the part I really needed to hear.. thank you so much, thank you for giving me the courage to continue trying!

Watched this vid, twice and tried for about 20mins (I have long false nails) however I wore for 8 hours and was completely leak free, my liner was dry, beginners luck or great instructions?!?

Sarah, I have to say THANK YOU because you made day 2 of using the diva cup for the first time MUCH less scary/confusing than the first day. I feel much more confident now and am still only in cycle 1.

Finalllyyy did it! I bought the cup few days back after alooottt of research. And yesterday i got my period. I tried twice to insert the cup but couldn't. I think it was because my flow on day 1 is always light and also cause vaginal muscles are tight on day 1. This morning I tried and got it in one go!!! Woohoooo! I tried the punch down fold, followed her instructions and also from other 1000 videos I watched. It got in first go. The natural lubrication and reminding myself to relax every second did the trick. I checked to see if there was the seal like she said, i guess it was cause it didn't come out. Though for a minute the stem was poking me, turns out i didnt push it all the way😂 it still poking a bit, I'll have to trim the stem and see how that goes the next time I have to reinsert. I'll keep u guys updated, wish me luck on my first day of trying the cup out!🤞🏼 Update: it's been another cycle since and honestly, it was so much easier then before in the latest cycle. I am still practicing, sometimes it doesn't pop open but practice makes on perfect so yeah. Also, i got tired on my 4th day so i used a pad and it felt so weird to wear one, it was wet and uncomfortable, comparatively with a cup... The only con with cup us that sometimes it doesn't open and taking out is abit painful, other than that it really doesn't feel like u r on ur periods.

I still haven't been able to get the cup to work for me. It's really frustrating me because I tried your method but it doesnt seem like it's going in! It goes in a little bit and then it starts to hurt trying to push it in even more and then it pops open too soon and it hurts Dx! I don't want to give up but this is really really hard for me and painful :/ please help! My patience is running out :(

I just wanted to let you know that this video was more helpful to my daughter than the "official" one made by "DivaCup". There is no substitute for plain talk and personal expereince.

I have officially mastered this on my first cycle. Thank you!!!! by the way, this might be helpful to some: I do the push down fold as well but I insert it upside down so the part that needs to pop open is facing down which makes it so much easier. I feel the top part is too sensitive to touch.

This video was so helpful that I got the first insert for this period right and I got the removal right thanks to this lady. No one else has been able to explain the process so well

I did it in the bath tub, and your comment on making sure to first relax all the muscles was especially helpful. The recommendation of doing the kegel contractions while putting in and removing the cup, was also super helpful. I realize I don't have to pull or insert much with my hands, they are there just to provide a gentle tug or direction, but the big - V muscles do all the work. Thank you so much once again.

This is my third cycle using my menstrual cup and, even though I really love my cup, I did have issues with leaking here and there - especially overnight. I was looking for a few helpful videos and this one popped up. I started using this method right away (yesterday lol) and I've had no leaking yet. Not a drop. Not even overnight. I've had no issues so far today either and I'm pretty confident that I'll be good tonight as well. So glad I came across this video, especially considered how long ago it was posted. All I have to say is...thank you!! Im on my first cycle trying this on day 2, and it has just been difficult. With your instructions I feel like everything is going to be ok lol. I just used your instructions and reinserted the diva cup and so far so good. I also cut the stem and already it is so much more comfortable. Thank you again for this awesome video

Thank you for making this video! The first month of using my menstrual cup was filled with trials and I already wanted to give up, but after watching this and using the method where you pop the cup open while it is still half out and then pushing it in helped immediately! I haven't had any leaks since this method.

New to the menstrual cup and second time using it. I had been trying the u-shape and thought it was best for me, but this time around I was still having problems and experiencing pain. Thank you so much for this video. Your tip on wetting the cup before insertion REALLY helped. I'm still having issues with getting it far enough up and fully opened but I can go about 6 hours before it starts to leak. Since this is only my second cycle, I won't get too frustrated.

Okay this video was a life saver!! First time trying the cup and I have been struggling on and off for hours trying to insert it, with pretty painful results each time. Tried this folding method and took the advice of some of the other comments on how to be more relaxed and it inserted successfully, for the first time, in like 30 seconds! Thank you!!

Ugh I can't keep my grip on mine so it opens up when I'm less than a centimeter in and then I'm trying to push in the open cup (it doesn't budge ). The key to this is strong finger dexterity lol. But as this is my second day (got it yesterday, can't get it today) I feel a lot better knowing it took several cycles for you so I'll keep at it and not feel like my vag is a failure. I'm about ready to toss mine away. I've tried different folds and lubrication and can't get it to slide in without it hurting. I also can't get it to insert further in than the opening. Not a virgin and tampons don't hurt but this menstrual cup is defeating me. I keep pinching myself when I try to turn it because there's no room to feel around. Anything else that might help?

OH MY GOSH THANK U SOOOO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO AND CUTTING DOWN MY LEARNING CURVE TO LIKE NOTHING!! i was watching this video on repeat couple times a month for 2-3 months before i started testing out the theory. just tried it for the first time this cycle couple days ago, the first time inserting was a little confusing, but now, 4 days into my period, i can confidently say i’ve mastered this technique thanks to you!!! the push down method is soooo clutch that when i put it in i don’t even have to stick my fingers up there to check if it’s suctioned correctly. i can just FEEL it suctioned as soon as i do it. and i’ve had NO LEAKS! even when i accidentally slept with it in overnight and kept it in for 24 hours it was fine. now i can’t imagine ever going back to tampons like i wish i had tried this out earlier. i’m telling everyone about it now i’m so hyped lol ur amazing ❤️

Omgosh even though this video is 4 years ago I am so thankful of your tips and video. I have watch quite a no. of videos when I ordered my cup and yours stood out the most.
