How to Install 1998-2002 Honda Accord Rear Brake Lines 

Just finished installation of brake lines with fuel lines still to go. I have lots of comments. Video excellent, better than installation instructions. Nothing is easy on a car over 20 years old. Tips: temporarily place 3/16" pipe plugs into proportioning valve after removing old lines to prevent brake fluid leakage. Plastic trays are held by two brackets at either end 10 mm, three 17 mm hex nuts, quarter turn only, and clips along lines. Pry lines out of clips/tray start from rear. Fuel supply line continued to drain so I kept it attached to quick disconnect and only removed it when necessary to slip new line in. I only removed two forward fasteners of heat shield as third above resonator (tight fit) but this provided enough space to remove and install right lines. I used a flare wrench on fittings above flex hoses so did not need to cut lines there. I was able to remove the line clip 10 mm bolt above subframe without lowering subframe using a box wrench then open ended wrench. Since I did not lower subframe I could not reach rear bolt of charcoal canister but was still able to thread new lines. I slid old lines out of plastic clips by cutting strategically. I recommend bleeding brakes prior to placing new lines in clips and reinstalling trays as I had leakage at all the unions but none at fittings at flex hose or proportioning valve. Dry each union with paper towel and then observe where leaking from while another person applies force to brake pedal. The most difficult step was starting the threading into the proportioning valve. The Fuel rail is very sharp edged-placing tape on it helped protect the back of my wrist. Hope this helps someone else doing this procedure.

Other tips: cut pieces of string and use masking tape to label hoses/ports, take photos with phone, and take notes. The 10 mm bolt for the bracket for fuel lines and left rear brake line was severely rusted so I used a 3/8" socket which worked well, nut extractor did not.

Just got my 2 door lines today. Great quality lines number properly. Way better and safer solution than reflaring old lines to new ones. Do you offer a fuel line replacing kit for 2002 accord as well. Much thanks. 5Stars🤩

What about the charcoal canister should this be replaced after so many years/ miles figured if so why not now

Did you sell the last pieces separetly from the kit? BL1108-06E-SS and the 05C side
