How to install 2005 Buick LaCrosse door handle

I just followed your video and replaced the driver's door handle on my 2005 lacrosse. The tools you will need are a ratchet, 6" minimum length extension , 10 millimeter socket, T-30 torx (star) socket, Phillips screwdriver and at the least a straight head screwdriver for prying the door panel clips off. I bought a cheap plastic tool kit for removing the door panel and trim, which was only $10 at the Auto Zone. It was well worth the $10 because it did not cause any damage at all to the door panel or the clips. If you have these tools and follow Antwan's video it is only a 20 to 30-minute job and is not hard at all. I figured the least I could do was to contribute to his video to help the next person out. A friend of mine has a loose door handle on his 05 Buick Lacrosse so I think he wants to just replace the whole handle instead of trying to tighten his old door handle. 👍

Antwan just what I needed to see. Got the same year make and model and it looks to be the same color as yours also. My problem is just that the front of the door handle is coming loose. I am hoping it Is just a screw coming loose.

I have a different situation but this was the most helpful. Both my passenger door handles don't work and it's closed so what's the cause? Rusted lock wire. Also saved me 400$ Stay humble. ✌️

Had same problem on a similar model, I used crazy glue, worked fine !! Just keep in mind that it will be very hard (may be impossible) to take off later on, in my case I did not care because the car was going to the wreckyard soon anyway.

I'm getting ready to help a friends elderly parents with an 07 Lucerne (same handle) since the dealer told them they would have to replace the whole door. What idiots...or they are intentionally trying to take advantage of them, if so they should rot in hell. Who would spend that kind of money on a 13 year old Lucerne? I've changed many of these and it's easy peasy, it's best to get a panel clip removal tool which looks like a screwdriver handle with a small forked pry bar, to keep from breaking the clips/push pin or panel. Try to get the clip/push pin in the middle of the fork so you aren't pushing on the panel but the pin itself. Just slide it under the panel along the perimeter until you hit the clips/pins and then slip the fork around it. I use one that has a u shaped stem so you can get to the ones in the front of the door where it's tight to get to. You can strengthen the new handle by mixing up some epoxy putty and packing it in around the nuts that are molded into the handle.
