Would love to do a front mount, can flip it upside down to keep fogs if desired as well but my 1 gen has such a small air inlet in the bumper I don't see a huge advantage for me and I don't wanna cut anything so stuck on smic for now.

i’ve been looking into a v intake in the front with radiator on an angle with a horizontal intercooler, temps would be superb but potentially only viable room wise , intake may have to come down the right side & to reduce piping single turbo kit, still have to do some research

Just do E85, so much more timing to run and boost, I have a mild 20T setup, only running 15psi on 93=450whp, E85 18psi=550+ whp. And that's keeping it safe and low boost

Hey Ian, dope vid. I recently got the cxracing fmic and had an even worse time. Brackets didnt line up, cold side piping rubbed hard on my maf, rear turbo hot pipe pressed against my hood, had the same issue with the ac like yours. The whole thing was a nightmare and i ended up returning it. The pipes also rubbed my chassis all over. Ended up returning it and ordered the 3sx side mounts with piping and hoping for the best (Im not gonna be running high hp for a long time so itll do for now). Just wanted to share my experience, awesome vid again!

Oh man, the side mounts are from CX too 3sx doesn't make their own side mounts. I did a video on that too. I had to get extra piping and extra couplers. To pretty much reroute it to make it work.... You can make it work. I don't remember what video it is.. but I did a video on how to make that side mount intercoolers work

No ... I had a bunch of people telling me that my car was going to overheat if I did the front mount it's just not true ..I haven't seen it over 178... most cars on the road have an intercooler in front of the radiator including my Duramax... I should be fine

The pipe going to the tb on my cx kit was the same way. I ended up cutting it right before the bov so I could twist it to make it pretty much a 90 degree angle if u look at it from the front of the car

Also I still have my ac :) but holy fuck is it crammed where the two hot pipes go down there. I didn’t cut anything either. Probably not so great that everything is pressed against each other. Hopefully they’re not rubbing too bad

Hey im fixing the rear turbo on my 92 stealth and i was wondering where can i find a good rebuild kit except for 3sx? May install billet when i first have it out and is that good idea when car is stock?

Yeah but you might as well do both turbos if you're going to rebuild one and then just for a little bit more you might as well go with bigger better turbos ....

I'm supervised you need to remount the inter cooler tabs so it won't hit the hood. I bought the 3SX radiator cover and it arrived all bent up, they didn't want to replace it.

Just installed my oil cooler from IMR and waiting on my mishimoto radiator. Have to wait next month to get some side mounts theyre a bit pricey for a good kit! Hopefully i can ramp up my resto once I get the new job in October.

@@huracanian3051 lol if I had the time to learn and do it myself I would. I asked the techs a national speed about those spacers to dampen the heat and he replied: Hey Will! Were they spacers? Many people use phenolic spacers to minimize heat transfer between the heads and the intake manifold, I used to be one of them. The reality is they don't effect intake air temps very much, so the main effect the end up having is moving spacing the intake manifold away from the heads. People will say this is good because it adds volume to the intake manifold, which in theory helps with low end torque, but really all that's happening is the injectors (being mounted in the intake manifold) no longer aim directly at the back of the intake valves, such that part of the fuel spray is hitting the port wall before entering the cylinder. Not the best for getting full atomization.

@@jinmishima86 those are not the spacers .... they are talking about spacers on the heads to the intake runners I am not using them I am only using a spacer from the runners to the upper plenum it will not change injector location at all ..I agree with them but they misunderstood you...

I'm on 110 ... It's pretty-much the same boost as e85 ... which doesn't really matter I can hit 34 PSI I don't see any more horsepower after 28 PSI.. my turbos are maxed out for now

my grandpa is running a front mount and has kept his ac… i know he has a different brand in his car, if i’m not mistaken it’s cx racing. i’ll try to get some pics and send them to you on instagram or something
