@@Get_yotted gotta have a certain cable though you want a 12v cord with 2-2.5 amps and for more fancy modern radios you may need 5 amps id check the manual that comes with the radio or the sticker on the radio itself theres also a lot of youtube videos out there on this
Mostly with the logitech wheels. Thrustmasters will be fine as long as you have a decently strong wheel. T300 and up is what I would recommend if you want a wheel like this.
if you r going to change your steering wheel, at least pick a light one, there are some cheap ones on aftermarket, a heavy wheel will completely destroy/overheat you ffb motor over time
true n like the spacer as well, i made my own spacer jus with a metal plate n drilled holes which is way lighter than the ones bought online n stronger than those 3d printed ones
I actually have a business getting ready to launch making modded parts and modding logitechs for customers. Been doing it since the driving force gt released. Anyways if your running a deep dish wheel, you have to reinforce the steering stem. Also you'll be better off completely disconnecting motherboard, and button housing. Run wires through the steering stem and mount the buttons in a button box. Depending on how you want it setup you may need to extend the wires a bit. Also make sure your wheel is a cheap ebay one if you haven't upgraded the rack n pinion gear set yet. If you want to run a real wheel, a heavier wheel, or a larger diameter, your gears will strip pretty badly over time. Typically noticeable around the 4-8 month mark depending on usage. One last thing if you decide to run a heavy, deep dish wheel thats almost twice the diameter, you'll need more than just the helical gear upgrade, a motor upgrade will more than likely be needed as well. Otherwise you'll start having over heating issues later on trying to over use the motors by increasing ffb in game beyond what they can handle. Although the cnc helical gear set would increase tq by roughly 19% you end up losing around 26% tq with oversized wheels assuming its a quality brand
I feel like a larger diameter wheel would fuck with the internal mechanisms over time. That extra leverage going to cause a lot of strain and wear it out I bet Cool as hell tho
Yeah it's based on wheel diameter but weight can affect it too which is why I'm not going to modify mine, I'm selling mine soon as I have ordered my first DD wheel
Thrust master: just buy a new wheel and switch wheels Logitech: you gotta become a temporary mechanic to install your wheel MOZA: wheel comes off. Other wheel goes on
