Got new nylon inserts marina mechanics ordered for old 1982 Sylvan boat. The old nylon inserts were wore down. Picked up at marina and they had beat nylon inserts down into bases. Told me to decide which of the different size seat to floor length shafts i wanted and to beat them in to holes. Figured out which went were. Sure not going to be able to pull seats out anymore. Problem is I cannot get the metal pins into holes on floor and then even if I beat them in, how am I supposed to get them into seat hole? Is there a trick I am missing? They said it be hard. Cannot find a u-tube video with old common seats like this. They have a spring on rod coming out before it gets into seat hole. Tried the metal bushings they were to sloppy. Hate to sand part away, but really don't see any other option other than pay 90 bucks an hour for mechanics to install 6 dollar bushings? Any suggestions.
How would one be raised up if it's an older boat and the rear seat mount is too close to the bottom of the boat? Build it up higher with wood then install? Thank you
how coul i fix my pedestal its different to that its got a thick pole and had a plastic cover over it but i lost the cover and now the seat wabbles alot
