Idk if you’ll respond since it’s an older video, someone basically asked my question about a sliding glass door. Trying to figure out how to secure it from inside an apartment. My plan after reading the other comment would probably be to put a metal bar in the middle that I can take off when we’re home, pop the bas boy in and secure the doors to that. Does that seem possible? Sliding doors always have made me nervous and I need a way to protect it on an apartment that doesn’t seem like we moved in and “destroyed” their door basically. Which obviously ill talk to them about first and I don’t think it’s an emergency issue since it’s mostly for when we aren’t home. It’d be open at home and we would have other ways to escape.

Can you use two of these, one on either side, on a double sliding door and have them lock into each other in the middle without the mounted locking bar?
Essentially you would need to fabricate some type of center support post that is secured in place. The goal would be to limit the amount of outward or inward play of the gates in the event of forced entry. At that point each unit would be independently secured and pad locked. Just keep in mind, you do not want to create and egress issue with the gates in the event of an emergency. Thank You, Grisham Bros.
