This guy makes the best videos for the R1 by far. Great camera work, great explanation of every step. "Let's pop this bad boy off" or "let's put this bad boy back together". "this bad boy is ready to go". I just ordered a bad boy for my bad boy, gonna install that bad boy soon as my lower back heals up. That bad boy got me walking like quasimodo and shit.

I have a 2017 R1 - just installed a clear windscreen. Be advised that the aftermarket windscreens do not have any blackout film at the base of the screen which provides the lovely visibility of the LCD bolt and the white horn from certain angles. Wish I had known that as I would have added some window tint before installing.

Ive never had as much hardship as trying to push those push fittings out , think mine where stuck , i had to cut them with the pliers and put new ones in

What is the advantage of this Hotbodies windscreen? I would think that Yamaha has already performed mega aerodynamic testing and come up with a good screen.

You will need to follow the process we show in this video which includes removing the fairing attached to the windscreen. - Van

I installed a dark smoke windscreen thanks to your videos I appreciate it on my 2016 r1 but now the display stays in night mode and all the lights are on that are normally only on at night. Could this be because the display is thinking it is dark outside due to the dark windscreen?

There is actually a button on the bike that controls the various visual displays!

The difference between them is the radius of the screen. The GP is a taller screen like a double bubble from Zero Gravity. The SS has pretty much the same shape as the stock screen from the bike. - Van
