You need to replace the struts as well!

@@carlosheras2828 the springs were installed backwards at the shop(driver side on passenger and passenger side on driver)

I bought a streetray leveling kit and they look just like your spacers. Would this work the same for a 2006 Chevy Colorado?

i know this is 5 years late but maybe it’ll help somebody else reading this. Supreme Suspension sells a 3” front coil spring spacer for every 2nd gen thru 4th gen 2WD Ram 1500s. that’s 1994-2018. since it’s the exact same part, id imagine the front suspension looks/works very similar to the 4th gen in this video. even though they may not be identical for your 3rd gen, i’ll bet that it’s similar enough for this tutorial to be effective for that installation.

I have struts in the front, you have shocks? Struts are a bitch to get out. It's not as easy as you make it look believe me.

does this leveling kit work on a 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7 SLT, if so are the strings attach to the shocks and are hard to get off

I’ve got the exact same truck. IMO the angle at witch the front end is lower than the back is much more noticeable than most trucks.

Will work exactly how this videos is. I have the 06 2wd 4.7. Shock is held in by 3 bolts. 2 on the bottom. 1 on the top

J&J Bassing I’ve got a 2004 Durango and it’s the same thing I’d say the back in a good 1.5-2 inches higher and it drives me crazy. I’m going to get a leveling kit a light bar and a brush guard and I will be excepted in Georgia finally

Anything over 3 inches will have to be an actual suspension lift kit, not just a leveling coil spacer.

Which one did you end up getting? The one I have inserts through the inside, but the wire diameter on mine max out at 0.75" and the springs I am putting in are 0.81". Not sure if that is the wire diameter of the stock springs, but going to check here in a bit.

yes, and change to suspension should call for an alignment.

Because of this video I was able to put a leveling kit on my 2011 ram 1500! Cant thank you enough. My biggest problem was finding the right spring coil compressor that did the job safely and the one I ended up using was the same exact one from the video which I got from advanced auto parts for $40

hi i know this is 4 years later, but do you happen to remember the specs on the coil spring compressor you used? i wanna make sure i get the right one before buying one, and i don’t envision me needing to use it more than once so i’d rather not have to keep an extra one around if i end up getting the wrong size lmao

You need to get one done afterwards.

not really bc when u lift a 2wd ur getting more clearance so if you tow alot like me u wont bottom out. vs lowering any truck u cant load anything any more bc ur gonna bottom out so whats the point in having a truck

He had a 1.5" polyurethane level on both sides. Dont go 3", thats when you start extending your suspension to its limits and break things.
