i actually watched a really interesting video on fireball tools youtube about backdragging a file and it actually does make the cut faster, the backdrag clears chips out of he file so you get a better cut on the push, just passing on some info! keep up the great items!
I watched that vid and it’s very interesting! Thanks for pointing it out. I have a slightly different interpretation of his results, but I don’t think he’s wrong exactly. I will say it makes me feel dirty all over, so there’s definitely some emotional involvement 😂
Thanks. I haven’t had time to install the fat bottom, but this was way better than the AK building books and forum posts. Nothing wrong with those, since we cut our teeth on them, but video is second only to in person tutelage.
Rivets gives it a nice flush look but requires extra tools. Why not use a screw set in placemat of the rivets to ease the installation and disassembly?
Alot of novice will do that but it is really frowned upon... Look up m+m industries E-clip AK mag release pin if you don't have the need for specialty tools
Do you know what would cause magazines not to sit high enough for rounds to be picked up by the bolt? I’m experiencing failures to feed with top loading drum and some poly mags, is this something the new mag catch would fix or does this have to do with mag well cut position??
