Save your money this thing is so wishy washy when changing the batteries it’s a pure headache. Even after changing the batteries the faucet doesn’t turn on. I regret buying this thing.

Pull the grey plastic circle down and pull the hose out. See this: www.moen.com/customer-support/faq/faq-035 I had to do the same thing and remove it and finally found the answer in an FAQ. I hope this helps.
Before you buy one of these you need to know there are some issues with it. I installed one of these and I am pretty disappointed in it when using the manual handle, the flow is cut in half compared to when the sensor turns it on. Its a nice gimmick gut the functionality just isn't there.
If my cat gets up on the counter and discovers she can get the water flowing by walking by, is there a timer that shuts off the water flow after a set amount of time?
Hello richardflaherty2373. The top Wave Sensor has an auto-safety feature that shutoff after two minutes. The water will continue to run until you wave your hand over the Wave Sensor again to turn it off. The bottom Ready Sensor will only run water when an object is within proximity of the sensor; 9" out from the sensor and 3" wide.
Thanks for this video. Misplaced the installation instruction, so this saved me time in trying to find them. BTW, love this unit since I installed it two weeks ago. Especially love the Turn On sensor at the top of the unit!
mine failed after 2 years, i have been using it as a regular faucet for the last 3 years. (waste of 500$) i think the control module is broken... it doesn't even light up, tried new batteries and everything... so how much is this service kit to fix my broken faucet?

Hey Moen, Have this faucet but don't have the manual. Is there more resources on what the error codes mean in more detail? Occasionally ours will stop working. Unplugging and plugging back in shows the red light pulse ~6 times, then it seems to work for about a week. Afterwhich it will randomly stop working again.

If the little light in the motion sense window won’t come on at all, what does that mean? Changed the batteries, unplugged and plugged in multiple times. Is it broken?

The hands free faucet is the worst!!!! Just get the standard regular faucet. I’ve never had something drive me so crazy before and moen customer service sucks because they didn’t even know how to help me over the phone and I had to wait 8 hours for a call back from them. Ridiculous

I love the motionsense so much I’ve bought 2 of the align models. I had a problem with 1, called customer service and received very professional advice
The house we purchased had this already installed. One year later, the faucet is not totally shutting off and a small stream of water comes out and can't shut it off with handle or motion sensor. The handle appears loose and the sleeve next to the handle pulls away exposing the insides. I don't know how to tighten this back. There is a hole which may hold an allen screw/bolt but I have to blindly insert and cant tell if it is doing anything since it is up against the kitchen wall. Does anyone have any information on this?

Hello Casey. Moen MotionSense/Wave Kitchen faucets offer the ability to operate the faucet with the sensors or with the manual handle. The faucet still needs to be connected to power-batteries or AC Adapter-for the manual handle to work.
Hello ME Tubay, Moen would recommend you take the spray wand off and clean the screen washer between the hose and wand. If this does not resolve your issue, Moen would also recommend cleaning and flushing the filters. Following the instructions below: Cleaning the first filter: 1. The gray control box has hose numbers imprinted on it. The number 2 hose has a built-in filter. To remove the filter from hose number 2, firmly push the gray ring against the control box while simultaneously pulling the hose out. 2. Once the hose is disconnected, unthread the brass fitting on the end of the hose. Hold the number 2 hose with a wrench at top of the filter connection. Unscrew the filter with a second wrench. 3. Rinse debris from the filter screen. Reassemble the filter into the housing and tighten using two wrenches. Insert the number 2 hose assembly into the control box. Gently tug on the #2 hose to check for a secure connection. Turn on the water supply. Cleaning the second filter: 1. The housing for the lower filter is located on the underside of the control box. Loosen the filter plug with a flathead screwdriver. 2. Pull the filter off the filter plug. Note: There will be some water released from the control box filter plug location, place a cup under the location to catch any water. 3. Rinse debris from the filter screen. Firmly push the filter back onto the filter plug and thread it back into the control box. Turn on the water supply. If the instructions above do not resolve your issue, please contact Moen directly.
Moen does not have a video; however, if you use the link below you will have a visual of how to clean the filters. solutions.moen.com/Article_Library/Low_Flow%3A_Cleaning_Faucet_Filters_(2012-2015) If you need further assistance, please contact Moen directly at 800-289-6636.

Hello Sam the Handyman, To remove the push fit hose from the control box, push on the gray ring on the control box. While firmly pushing on the gray ring pull the hose to remove.
@@moenfaucets this a terrible design and multiple customers have inquired about the same push fit hose removal. Obviously one would think you could simply push on the firm gray rings to remove the hoses but that’s hasn’t been the case. Is Moen working on developing any fail-safe mechanisms for future uninstallation?
Really? i was about to buy the ARLO unit but this video discouraged me to do it. Who wants all those boxes, cables and whatnot underneath he sink? also batteries? wow
Hello A Skoyles. To remove the push fit hose from the control box, push down on the gray ring on the control box. While firmly pushing on the gray ring, pull the hose to remove. man people are getting too lazy to even turning the lever????.....I would think crawling under the sink to change the batter would be more of a PITA.....Someone said Luckily the faucet works manually with batteries installed. So when the power goes out/batteries die it doesn't work?
Hello Dennis M. The first generation of Moen's MotionSense faucet could still be used, by turning the lever handle to turn on/off the water, even if there was no power to the faucet-no battery or AC power. The second generation of Moen's MotionSense faucet can only be used if it has power to the faucet.
How do you adjust the sensitivity? I recently changed my batteries and the unit comes on when someone stands in front of the sink. Is that a sign that the module needs to be replaced?
Hello Aaron. We recommend resetting the faucet. To complete the reset, unplug the power and data cables from the control box. After 60 seconds, plug in the data cable first, followed by the power. Please ensure that the data cable is installed completely into the electronic box. This connection is a tight fit; and, if not fully engaged, the faucet will not work properly. Do not stand directly in front of the faucet during startup/calibration. Our Product Specialists would appreciate the opportunity to troubleshoot and offer technical support. Please feel free to call us at 1-800-289-6636; our Consumer Services Center is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm Eastern Time.
Moen Thank you very much. I disconnected the battery pack for about 40 seconds and reconnected it to the module. The faucet is working a little better now, not AS sensitive. Question for you. Why wasn’t the faucet supplied with the option to power the faucet from the wall?
Hello Aaron. That is good news about the reset! We offer an AC Adapter with power splitter, part number 169031, which must be purchased separately. The power splitter will work as a backup power source if your home loses electricity. You would use the battery pack supplied with the faucet when installing the Power Splitter and AC Adapter.
@@moenfaucets I have 8735ESRS Haysfield with Motion sense. I have a problem, the sensors don't sense to turn off. The water keeps going forever never stops. Unless I remove the power cable, data cable and cutoff water supply. What could be happening? My faucet refuses to sense manual mode too. I have a kitchen sink with no water. Is there a way to bypass the sensors and purely go manual?
