Strange to call it a touchless faucet when you have to touch it to turn it on and off.

Right?! I had the same thought. But searching for touchless facets seems to be the way to find these touch faucets.

I mean the faucet in this video is simply not a touchless faucet, it is in fact a “touch” activated faucet. Touchless fixtures have motion sensors to activate the water flow. A helpful video nonetheless, even though the title is misleading.

Same system from China works great , only question is if this can work without touch in case batteries are down ?
@clickapro
@clickapro 3 года назад
Hi! Yes, it's working great. Ours has been running 10 months so far with no battery change and no problems. I'd recommend keeping some spare batteries on hand for when they run out. They are cheap and easy to replace. You *could* run it without batteries - basically it needs to be ON at the valve below, then you can use the handle like a normal faucet, but it's much easier to just swap batteries when needed.

Hi. Really helpful video. Keep it up. Just want to ask I have this same tap. The wiring in the battery compartment have come out. How do I connect.both wires again so the tap works. Thanks.
@clickapro
@clickapro Год назад
Thanks! Sorry to hear about the wires coming out. Without seeing a picture, I'd probably start with matching colors. If that doesn't work, a little trial and error is probably ok if you're just working with the battery power. Once you find the right wire combo then you can connect the wires. Maybe upgrading to crimping connections could keep them more secure.

A little strange to turn the main water supply off rather than just under the faucet.
@clickapro
@clickapro Год назад
Good observation. This is just extra precaution. With hard water here, more often than not, we find that those little angle stop valves under the sink don't really close all the way and need to be replaced during faucet installation. So yes, if you are confident that your valves under the sink are working properly, you can shut them off to swap out the faucet.

We have been using ours constantly for over 4 months so far and haven't needed to replace the battery yet. Some manufacturers say the batteries last 2 years. I'm thinking that just changing them once a year would work well. The batteries are super easy to change.

@@clickapro does the tap work if the batteries go flat?
@clickapro
@clickapro 2 года назад
@@handle1196 hello, yes the faucet should operate manually if the batteries go dead. If this doesn't work for you, you can try to turn the handle on and then take out the batteries. But the batteries should last a year and are pretty easy to replace, so if you set a reminder to change them once a year, you can always be in business 😁

What if the battery does not work or the touch part does not work, will the faucet still work snd water will still be able to come out?
@clickapro
@clickapro 2 года назад
Great question, it is possible to just run this faucet manually, but if you get this faucet, it's pretty much a commitment to keep fresh batteries. Ours lasted over a year before needing new batteries. Under 5 min to replace. We love the convenience so much it's worth the extra effort.
@drricky7318
@drricky7318 2 года назад
@@clickapro Thanks a lot for the reply. My only worry is whether this will work or not if the touch sensor fails or battery pack messes up since I am away from the home for few months at a time and someone checks on the place. Would need that faucet to always be working.
@clickapro
@clickapro 2 года назад
@@drricky7318 gotcha, totally makes sense. I had concerns like that too. Like what if it stopped working in the middle of the night or when I'm on vacation. But basically, I think it works such that the batteries allow it to change from it's current state only. So if you leave on vacation and the faucet is off when you leave, it will stay off even if the batteries run out when you're gone. The only problem would be when you get back and try to touch it on, it would just stay off until you put in fresh batteries.

@clickapro
@clickapro 2 года назад
Bummer that your touchless faucet is starting by itself. I would start with the following: #1 put in fresh batteries - use really good batteries like this: amzn.to/3tn8RBd #2 check to make sure that nothing is near the faucet that can make it turn on - anything warm or moist near the faucet may cause this. For example a sponge or a candle, etc. could cause problems #3 make sure the faucet is clean and dry all around. #4 check under the sink, make sure that nothing is touching or hitting the controller device. The controller device is on the water supply line and is typically white plastic.

What happens if you live in an apartment? Can you still install this?
@clickapro
@clickapro Год назад
Yes absolutely should be able to install this in an apartment as long as you can turn off the valves under your sink to swap out the faucet. I would keep a few buckets handy and I would figure out where your building's water supply shut off is just in case something goes wrong.
@doccock1662
@doccock1662 Год назад
@@clickapro Thank you! So you only turned off the valve outside the house as an extra precaution? Is turning off the two valves underneath the sink cabinet sufficient?
@clickapro
@clickapro Год назад
@@doccock1662 yep, I turned off the outside valve as an extra precaution. If your valves under the sink are functioning properly, you should be able to shut them off and swap out the faucet. But it's good to know how to shut off the water to your building or unit just in case because the under sink valves tend to corrode over time and can break when you turn them on or off to work on the faucet. Great question, thanks for stopping by.

Hi I have one of these and my batteries died can I use it without the batteries per some days? I don’t know the way to do that my batteries died and I can’t use
@clickapro
@clickapro 3 года назад
Hi Anthony, great question. You can use this unit without batteries. But to do so, you need to have batteries to turn the faucet on. Then while it's still running, go under the sink and unplug the battery unit. Now the faucet will work with the handle only. If your batteries ran out with the faucet off, you'll need to get new batteries. Alternatively, you could try removing the white control module (turn off the water first), but I strongly don't recommend this as the connections may be difficult to make after removing the module and it may cause damage. It will be far easier to change the batteries.
