That's a very slick kit. The only issue is that most people can't get behind the wall. They'll be installing from in front of the wall. Making this kind of faucet a bit of a bugger unless you use a mounting plate held to the wall via Toggle Bolts. But for those people who can easily get behind their wall...Moen is the place to go!!
Slick. Unfortunately, I've got a plumbing vent in the exact bay that would be center for my faucet knobs. I can either reroute the plumbing vent or scrap this idea. 🤔
Hello Xuser9980. Moen has some beautiful wallmount bathroom faucets! We are sorry to hear of the installation challenges you would have for this type of installation. If you have any additional questions, Moen product specialists can be reached at 1-800-289-6636 and are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm Eastern Time.
Would be helpful for an explanation of what needs done if the supply lines come from above rather than below... I suppose flip it over and switch out the cartridges.
Hello Steve Shiflett. We have passed along your suggestion to include instructions for the Moen wall mounted lavatory rough-in valve when the installation has supply lines that come down from the ceiling. For installation support, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-289-6636; our current business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Eastern Time.
Thanks Moen! You can also have them say something like "...and you don't even have to remove the cartridges before you sweat the joints!" if that is the case. After I installed it upside down for my supply coming from the ceiling, I thought, "Oh crap!" - thinking about the hex set for the spigot would not seat properly but it appears it was engineered for "up" or "down" - so a word on that would be reassuring so that other customers do not have that "Oh crap!" moment. Otherwise, it's an excellent video. Beats the hell out of reading the directions in 4 different languages!
