Yes, if I have a trailer on the car and switch to reverse, the sensors are off. The controlunit of the trailer hitch must be connected to the CAN bus of the car. In the video you can see it at Minute 15:00. The car then has to be taught to the trailer hitch in a workshop. The Part were you have to connect the Controlunit of the trailer hitch to the CAN Bus of the car is depending on the car modell and the trailer hitch, so read the instructions here very carefully.

I'm not sure if I understand you correct. But I just installed a trailer hitch set. The included trailer control Box is just connect to the CAN bus and the 12 Volt. The cables from the Control box are then put into the trailer hitch plug. The pin layout of the Plug is standardized.
You need to reprogram the control unit of your car because the distance Control will always beeps when you drive backwards 😅 also i think, the brakes work different when you car knows there is a trailer attached to it.
Can anyone confirm that all inner fender screws need to be removed for removing the bumper. If I can only remove the outer ones (3) and not the one more to the middle I think I will be able to not remove the wheels and not jack up the car

Ne, du bekommst keine Fehlermeldung wenn du alles richtig angeschlossen hast. Die Elektrik für den Anhänger funktioniert aber erst wenn du das Steuergerät in einer Werkstatt angelernt hast. Prinzipiell kann das eigentlich fast jede Werkstatt. Ich war damals bei Euromaster, die haben danach auch durchgeprüft ob alles Funktioniert.
@@leonkreuzer446 Ja ist jetzt zwei Jahre her als ich das gemacht habe 😅 Licht und sowas konte ich anscheinend testen Indem ich den Anhänger dran gemacht habe, sieht man ja im Video. Ich bin mir nicht hundertprozentig sicher ob man eine Fehlermeldungen bekommt. Aber ist ja eigentlich egal, dann soll die Werkstatt einmal den Fehlerspeicher löschen.
Nein TÜV macht gar keine Probleme. Die Anhängerkupplung von Westfalia haben eine Zertifikatnummer daher braucht man keine Abnahme oder Eintragung in den Papieren. Ich würde aber empfehlen das ganze von einer Fachwerkstatt zu überprüfen zu lassen.
Yes the rubber bushing, were the Pins sit in, was way to stiff. You have to spray it with some WD 40 or something like that. But you have no acces to the bushing when the light is mountet. 😅 I glued the pins back to the tail light. So far everything holds.
You can't install it yourself in Slovakia, you have to go to a service center where they are authorized to do so. And it's a shame . If you can do it yourself at home and you can't install it because of the law
