I love the setup but I would put a socket union at the outlet of the watertank...To facilitate easy disconnection of the tank to the line...To clean the thank as the needs be.
1 is actually there. It's right before the water pump. Didn't want to use 2 socket unions so close to each other. Thanks for the comment though. Please like, subscribe and share if you haven't as yet.
Good job! I’m working on a similar set up but in the basement due to freezing issues. One suggestion, install a large filter after the pump for cleaner water.

U could name it " how conect ur rain water storage from underground house to ur tank on top of ur house ,with a 220 ,1hp pump with smart head " Mr Plumber many of ur viewers don't get water from NWC water supply . so this video would basically help to promote off grid water storage... And i can safely say water locks offs are pretty common in St.Ann for example. Some one out there must agree some what .

There is a electric device that you can buy and connect it the pump them lower it inside the tank almost at the bottom. When the water isn't touching it what it does is turn off the pump preventing it from burning.
Yes. Emediately where the water exists the tank or after where the water exists the pump to prevent the water from running the opposite direction when the pump is off.
