In this video I install a 5v ZWO EAF on my Stellarvue 102mm, and talk about what else is needed to install it that is not included.
ZWO Did not sponsor this video, and I am not affiliated with ZWO. I purchased this product on my own.

Timely video that covers good details. I am getting a SVX90T this week.

Thanks very much for making this video. I struggled for a long time to reliably connect my EAF to my Stellarvue refractor, and this showed me how to correct my mistakes. I look forward to your upcoming backlash video.

Great video, thanks! An option to secure the single screw better is to replace the flat washer with a spring lock washer. That could be all that is needed.

Thanks for the tip! I did try it for about a week with the single screw and it did seem to work without issue, the lock washer is a great idea to keep the single screw from backing out.

Did you try using a larger washer with the front and rear screw to see if it would help with more support. It looks like if you placed a washer on the rear screw that at least half of the washer would be helping to secure the back of the mounting plate.

Hello DurangoLegend, I have not tried that. I have been using the setup just as I installed it in this video and have not had any problems. I will admit I should put it on my to do list, since it would be much more secure having a second screw holding the focuser in place. Thanks for watching!

This is very helpful as I’m thinking of buying this same scope from Vic and I have the same accessories you have. Many thanks and clear skies.

You won't regret the scope. It is definitely a lifetime scope. It is a telescope that I will never replace. While I haven't used mine much for visual the few times that I have done outreach, it has proven to also be an amazing visual scope for its size.

Could you share what size bolts you used to secure the bracket? Thanks!

After visiting my local hardware store, I could not find a stainless steel bolt that was the correct length. I did keep it for a while with the single bolt and had no issues with flex, or problems with achieving consistent focus. I did take the advice of another commenter and add a spring lock washer to it to extra security.
