Many new cars no longer have cigarette lighters, but most older cars do. I usually just tap into those wires. They also make ports that can be swapped out in place if you just want to take out the old lighter and put repurpose the space without making new holes. I've done that on a couple older vehicles.

Don't want to be that guy but that was a crappy installation. at least with the wiring. The cabling just hanging there in front of that small 5" sub will vibrate against the outer suspension ring and will rub into the speaker and damage it. I would advise to at least wire the cabling though a place that can be secured down

No. 1: Don't use a power drill for screws into flimsy plastic. No. 2: Without the proper circuitry to drop the voltage (despite what the ad may state) you may be pushing 12 volts into your phone that can only accept 5v. Will it charge fast, likely so with lots of heat and at worst, fry your phone. Beware just because it looks correct, doesn't mean it presents the proper amperage and voltage. No. 3: Secure the wires better. No. 4: If you smell something hot-burning you know where to look. No. 5: Better to install much higher quality ports to safe guard your devices. No. 6: Alternative is to install 12v cigar female port and purchase a high quality name brand adapter to USB for proper charging characteristics. Don't ruin a high priced phone or other device because there was a cheap solution that looks good.
