Hey everyone! So at 14:49 I mention that if you decide to get the BooneDox landing gear instead of the native sidekick, Native wouldn’t actually honor a warranty claim if an issue happened because of the BooneDox landing gear. This has actually been disproven after making this video. So if you prefer the BooneDox landing gear, you should be safe to use it.

Wicked video, nice to see another angle for installing the sidekick. I've read and seen that you need to cut and remove the rear rubber handles to install it but I really prefer this option. I hope you do a detailed XI3 install video at some point.

It’s actually not. The rods lay a little lower then the sidekick plus we still have the BlackPak pro with 8 rod holders. Appreciate the support.

You might be planning to have the larger of two batteries in the aft battery compartment. If so, do you think the battery can be removed with the sidekick bar directly over the compartment? I believe you slide the seat forward to remove the cover and access the battery.

I think you’re right. I actually put the battery in the compartment today. With a little finagling I think it would come out with the sidekick on top, but I couldn’t get it out. Not a huge deal for me because once the battery goes in and the wires are run I don’t plan on reopening it. But it’s not the easiest. It seems like you’re right the seat needs to slide forward.

Hey so I actually took a deeper look into this on my boat after I read your comment. The seat can stay in there's no need to move it. However, you have to slide the plastic tray underneath the seat forward and then you can remove the battery tray. Hope that helps.
