No need to worry about "so far", The CuZn UC-200 carries a comprehensive performance warranty, in the unlikely event your system expires early at some point over the years, simply give us a call or send us an email and we'll get you set up with a warranty replacement filter system! Usually we can review the symptoms of the expiration reported + local water quality data and customize the warranty replacement filter system set up accordingly in order to prevent the premature expiration from cropping up again in those uncommon instances. As part of our comprehensive install support policy, we're always happy to diagnose and ship out any and all additional install components required for customers with a different application in mind (such as connecting the unit to a dedicated filter faucet) or that run into a non standard plumbing connection at no additional cost upon request. It would be our pleasure to ship out bracing straps and anchors for you at no cost if you wish to secure or mount the UC-200 filter system to the cabinet wall. The wife and I have personally owned several UC-200s over the years and we've never had any issue, the unit stands surprisingly securely on its base. We just hook the UC-200 up and then slide it into the back corner of the cabinet. Couldn't hurt to add some bracing straps if the filter will be living in a high traffic area or you'd simply prefer to add them, just send us an email or give us a call and we'll get them on way! Hello Mark Y, great question, thanks for inquiring with us! Probably going with a CuZn IL-200 Series Refrigerator Water Filter will be the easiest and quickest route to go - Search "How to Install a CuZn IL-200 Series Refrigerator Water Filter" on RU-vid to view that option. That being said, The CuZn UC-K Series Under Counter Water Filters can be connected to both the refrigerator supply line and and the dedicated filter faucet simultaneously. Depending on whether you've got copper, braided stainless steel or plastic refrigerator supply line, the adapters necessary will vary a bit. To make an additional 1/4" line available from the out let of the filter, you'll simply start by connecting 1/4" x 1/4" x 1/4" T-Adapter to the outlet of the filter. Connect the stainless steel braided hose to one of the 1/4" ports and the base of the dedicated filter faucet. Use the other 1/4" port made available by the T-adapter to the refrigerator water line. Hello, great question! We recommend the use of the UC-200 for only cold water applications. The filter is installed so that all cold water coming from the main kitchen sink faucet is filtered. The filter can be installed for many different applications though, but all for cold water applications like say a fridge, drinking faucet, or supply multiple appliances simultaneously. Good Morning Iggy, No tape or sealant is needed for compression fittings. The stainless supply hoses included in the purchase have gaskets that form the seal.
