Just rub your finger around and feel for an even lip all around, if it doesn't feel even all around, it's not aligned. Simple. Been doing mobile clutch replacements over 8 years now and my trusty finger has never failed me. Though my ex would beg to differ.
Lol haha, all jokes aside though that is how I did mine last time how would I do the self adjusting clutch on a BMW without an alignment tool? I have to do one on my car here pretty soon the ones I have seen the pressure plate does not even touch the clutch disc until you released that locking thing and once you do that you cannot take it back off without it taking up the slack or FreePlay then it's hard to reset it not sure hot thst works I do not have alignment tool do not know where to get one try to figure out some kind of solution
Can you explain this process to me please? Do you have the pressure plate in position here with some pressure already on the friction plate? And then feel around with your finger and adjust the friction plate as necessary?
I did a Daihatsu Charade clutch disc change with out an alignment tool. After I had pried the engine & transmission apart far enough to where I could get to the pressure plate bolts, upon reassembly I just eyeballed the disc in relation to the pressure plate to where it all looked centered. When I stabbed it with the transmission, it went right in. I never did change the throw out bearing.
Once you removed the clutch assembly removed the bolts on the flywheel but leave one bolt loose to hold the flywheel when you shake with pry bar in the opposite sides or hammer the flywheel out.
@@montgomeryha4921 there is a shaft on the tranmssion if the clutch is not aligned the shaft won't go through and mate with the pilot bearing.and will cause a hassle it reassemble
Y yo porque soi tan desgraciado que lo yebo aún mecánico que solo se dedica a poner embragues y ya van 3 montados y aún así no va bien,y eso que entró con vimasa que parecía una fiesta
