Let’s discover how to download and install an app in zoom.
Installing the app
On the homepage go to the upper menu and click on the app icon HERE. A new window is opened with two options: select Discover. In the new window you will see a list of all the apps available both paid and free.
Let's scroll down and choose this free app called “timer” and click on Add.
It is best that you are logged into the zoom account in the browser. Otherwise, you will be redirected to the official zoom page, where you can enter your credentials.
In the new page you need to accept the permissions to install the app. Click on the check box to continue. Then click on the allow button HERE. You will be redirected to the zoom app. Click on the link.
Now you can see the new app that has been installed. At any time you can locate this and any apps you have installed by clicking the top menu and selecting the my apps icon HERE. On the left side you can see all of your apps.
Click on the app you want to use and it will be opened.
Setting up the App
Let’s see how to use “Timer” .
Using the arrows up and down you can set the time you need: minutes and seconds. Or if you wish you can choose the times already defined as: 1, 10, 15 or up to 30 minutes.
At the bottom you can choose if you want to use an audible alert or not. You can reset the timer or just start using it by clicking the start button.
In the upper right corner you can click the start meeting button. A new window is opened where you can add contacts and start your meeting with the “Timer” app ready to be used.
In a Meeting
Also you can use the app during a meeting. Go to the bottom menu and click on the app icon HERE. On the right side you can see all the apps you have. Click on the timer app and it will open. In this section you can allow the “Display timer for others” if that is what you want. If you want the app to open in a new window, click on this upper right icon HERE. The app will be visible for you and others.
