just done mine C70 II all was good until put the centre console back in place , the BLISS button it is a nightmare to fit and click back in place ...but now its done and it does worth the trouble , thanks for your video , warning to C70 II owners be very careful and gentle when trying to prying out the gearbox gaiter the plastic that holds leather to centre console breaks very easily .

Also, the Bluetooth module I bought was terrible. It doesn't play out of the right speakers properly, but does a little. Be careful where you get the module from!

@@scharlytonbeltrao This is why I installed a 3.5 mini jack Bluetooth receiver in below the arm rest it comes with a ground loop isolator to reduce any hum interference and works perfectly with my phone. Plus you get the USB connector for the back 12v slot so you have a spare USB type for any passenger to use.

Bought one a few days ago, fitted it and it worked, i then put my dash back together and it completely broke my radio, volume controls went dead on my dash and steering wheel, and i couldnt select am/fm, removed the new part and it works fine again, am well gutted

The problem is that you did not plug all the way in the connectors, I faced same issue till I really use lot of force and he clicked.. from there all went back to normal.

I have installed 3 of these in my 2009 Volvo V50. First one failed within a week 2nd & 3rd both lasted about 10 days. They performed excellent, until they failed. I thought I may have done something wrong but the process is so simple, I blame the product.

Any word on whether it works with all bluetooth on all phones? We picked on up that worked through the FM receiver, but it did not work with iPhones (although the box said it did). We think it was a version issue (pre 11 iPhone). Any notes about this for this device? Thanks for the vid. Going to try this out.

I installed mine yesterday and found a small problem, it has a static noise coming from it all the time, when I play music or not, but the static noise is there.. idk if thats the product fault of mine, but for now I’m going to live with it until maybe I buy another one

note... this only works if you have the 3.5mm headphone jack, this is not for every 2004-2012 model. This updated version you have allows it to work. Because the Bluetooth works via AUX. I have that problem with my brothers car with this same plug.

@@ldenorio in you rest you arm, in that compartment, but this only counts for the newer versions of it, if you don't have the version where you can cover your cup holders then you don't have the headphone jack.

Yeah basically you need that updated version, the C30 I think had 1 year of this older version of the interior, where the S40 that were released before 2008 had that older interior, in 2008 they started doing version 2 of it, it included new body design changes, like new tail lights and front lights as well, and of course that new interior style with the 3.5mm headphone jack

It will not work, I repeat NOT work if your Volvo only has the am/fm and CD option. If it doesn't have the aux option it will not appear after you install the device.

No, you need AUX version on your Volvo. Bluetooth adapter collects signal from your phone and transfer it to stereo by AUX cable. Of you don’t have one it won’t work.

Question I bought a 2005 Volvo S40 off a friend. The radio screen is obscured due to her accidentally ramming a 2x4 into it. I am replacing the radio portion with an OEM used radio. @@davidemond2 That is because he did not mention that it is only compatible with s40 2007 and up not 2004 and up. For this to work your console must have the mode option and that only comes in the 2007 and up, another word this is useless! even if you have a 2007 and the aux option, you should be able to simply plug into your cigarette lighter, this item is a rip off but to be fair it does say in manual for this item that it will not work in any volvos that does not have the aux option lol and think about it, if you have it, why spend money on this and the time it takes? please do your researches sir before posting misleading stuff. I made a mistake buying it, I did not do my research after this post! can't blame you for costing me $20 lol

There have been a lot of people asking this without being answered so I'll just write this here now. This does NOT work for cars that do not have the higher factory spec that includes cruise control and AUX. If you have the base model that does not have these you can't install this, as there will be no AUX / Bluetooth fuction in the connector this product uses. I don't know of a way to get around this so get a different car or radio. Hope this helps.

@@pedrolcastro Depends on the year. It's pretty likely that it has aux if it has the cc, since you get them both on the higher trim level. They're not options like leather seats or improved audio are.

Walmart has cheap bt transmitters you plug into aux, they don’t mess with the quality but die fast. I keep mine plugged in. Same features as in video

I just did this two days ago and has worked great and then today I could not connect to it at all and soon after it just disappeared in my available Bluetooth all together , cheap Chinese stuff hopefully it comes back to life once I put the car to sleep for the night

@@grahamwolfe4968 Mine will periodically not connect but turning the car off and on always resolves it. If you're not seeing it in your bluetooth options, you may not have plugged it in securely. I would check the wiring and make sure its plugged in securely and is receiving power.

I believe incoming and outgoing calls are routed through the car’s stock Bluetooth module. The microphone is situated in front of the driver’s visor. This product is only to allow one to have Bluetooth audio in addition to the stock Bluetooth phone capabilities.

No it doesn’t work if you don’t have aux. there is a Bluetooth board available on Tindie.com which works on all models by adding a BT board inside the CD player.

I have mounted this module but the difference of the sound radio FM and sound of AUX from this module is very big, it sounds much slower, **half on the radio is at maximum on the aux**.

Go to car settings then go to audio and select aux settings. You will see that for some reason the max aux volume will be preset at 50% turn it all the way up! Problem solved!

This will only work with those units that have the aux port in the glove box. Will also display the mode button on the console. The ones that came with cd-am\fm units.. no luck !

Hello, nice although pretty much unclear in regard towards unmounting the dash waterfall and arm rest. Obviously you take it for granted that everybody does work into a Volvo Service point but unfortunately that isn't the case, at least not for me. In your video we see you take of the armrest but you didn't showed how to dismounth, could you please be a little more complete on that kind of issues. Furthermore it would be a nice if you could specify where to buy th Bluetooth insert from, is that possible? It's fairly simple of removing the cigarette lighters plastic and rubber. Then remove two screws beneath that. Continue to remove the stereo as he shows. Next, remove four screws behind the radio and then you can simply unclip the box panel behind the waterfall dash and then just click the plastic waterfall dash off.
