In this video, Nathan provides valuable insights into the Cambridge Sound Management active emitters. Alongside, he demonstrates the Cambridge Qt X 300, a versatile sound masking generator capable of controlling up to three zones of emitters. Unlike passive emitters, active emitters require additional components for installation.
To connect the active emitters, we use the Cambridge Active Emitter Power Injector (PI-AE) and the Active Emitter Power Supply (PS-AE-3) to facilitate the delivery of wattage to the active emitters, which feature built-in amplifiers for superior sound quality.
It's crucial to note the importance of configuring the Qt X 300 to recognize your active emitters, as failure to do so will damage your emitters.
Why opt for active emitters? They offer higher sound pressure levels (SPL) and broader frequency ranges, making them suitable for applications requiring music playback and crisp paging. Nathan provides a brief demonstration of the sound masking feature as well as the music option.
