Thanks-you help with my Hypex Fusionamp 3-way project, an active ‘impersonation’ of the Qualio IQ speakers. You answered the question, re: if one of the amps’ 125w modules was enough for the 4ohm 90w woofer I already bought; with 40% headroom, no problemo. (my ‘Fusionamp 123’ has two, bridgable, Ncore, 125w amps and one 100w amp.)

I have watched a lot of your videos and called in recently but did not get my question answered. Do the dynamic mics need any type of pre amp to get the gain up. I have wired many 70 volt sound systems and input volumes are great but you have to max out volume to get microphones to provide a good output volume. What can I do to improve this the output on the microphones. By the way, not using this only for announcements. It is used for live audiences similar to a church setting. It would be great to see more video content about the microphone set ups on 70 volt systems. Thank you

@ProAcoustics
@ProAcoustics 23 дня назад
Hi there! I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your microphone. Here are a few things you can check: 1. Signal Lights: Your receiver might have signal lights that show if the microphone is communicating with the receiver. Make sure these lights are on. 2. Gain Controls: Try turning up any gain controls on your receiver to ensure you're getting a signal. 3. Receiver Output: Check the output connection of your receiver. The cable might be shorted or disconnected. If possible, replace it with a new one to see if that helps. 4. Transmitter Mute: Double-check that the transmitter isn't on "mute." If these steps don't resolve the issue, I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your wireless microphone for further technical support. They should be able to assist you more thoroughly. Best of luck, and I hope you get it working soon!

@ProAcoustics
@ProAcoustics Месяц назад
Hi there! The size of the speaker cable you need for a 1000-watt subwoofer speaker will depend on the length of speaker wire you need to run. Generally, 12 gauge wire should be adequate for runs up to 120 feet for 8-ohm speakers, and up to 60 feet for 4-ohm speakers. For longer runs, you might want to consider using 10 gauge wire. Hope this helps!

I have a question. Hopefully, you can provide an explanation. I am using the Debra 4 channel Wireless Microphone set. It includes the 4 headset bundle and the receiver hub. When we ampifly the volume to get more gain, there is a fairly loud white noise/static that is constant. It is for sure coming from the receiver, but we are not sure why. Could this be a channel frequency issue? Note: The 4 mics are not far from the receiver when in use. 15 feet tops.
@ProAcoustics
@ProAcoustics Месяц назад
Hi Gilbert, it could be a frequency issue, so if you have additional frequencies available, try switching to others. If the problem persists, it might be a gain issue causing the noise and/or distortion. If you're unable to resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer for model-specific tech support. Best of luck!

@johndeal1624
@johndeal1624 Месяц назад
I ran into a sound system installation with a functionally similar setup like this but I don't think this is the right way to go. The solution here does restrict the sub to below the crossover point. However, the mains will try to reproduce all of the program material, including the lows the subwoofer is doing since the input signal to the amplifier is direct form the mixer and not going through a crossover (unless the amplifier has a built-in crossover). In most cases, the "tops" are not designed for reproducing the low frequencies, which the subwoofer can handle much more efficiently. I feel the more standard solution is for the main outputs (line level) of the mixer be connected to the inputs of the subwoofer (all the active subwoofers I have ran into have a stereo pair of inputs). Set the desired crossover frequency on the subwoofer's crossover and level of subwoofer volume. Then take a separate pair of XLR cables and connect the subwoofer's high bypass outs and connect these cables to the input of the power amp and connect the speaker cables from the amp to the non-powered main speakers. Now you have the line level output of the mixer split with the lows going to the subwoofer and the rest to the power amp hence the non-powered main speakers. One consideration is the sequence of powering on and off the system. I believe the proper power on sequence is mixer->subwoofer->power amp. The power off sequence would be the opposite. This is the solution I came up with when I ran into a setup which was functionally the same as the solution presented here. The system became much clearer after I changed it to what is described above. If I am totally missing the point here, please let me know!

Connecting a 70V speaker to a regular power amp is not recommended unless the speaker has a low impedance bypass switch, usually set at 8 or 16 ohms. Without this switch, the mismatch in impedance can damage your equipment or affect sound quality negatively.

How do I find a hidden short where the wires are buried and we have 39 speakers spread over 1000 ft. with 45 soldered joints?
@ProAcoustics
@ProAcoustics 2 месяца назад
Finding a hidden short in a complex setup like yours can be challenging, especially with multiple speakers and soldered joints over a long distance. Here are some steps you can take: 1. Visual Inspection: Start by visually inspecting the wiring path for any obvious signs of damage or exposed wires. 2. Use a Multimeter: Test each soldered joint and section of wire with a multimeter to check for continuity and potential shorts. 3. Segment Testing: Divide the wiring into manageable segments and test each segment individually to isolate the location of the short. 4. Check Grounding: Ensure that all speakers and equipment are properly grounded to prevent electrical issues that could lead to shorts. 5. Professional Assistance: If you're unable to locate the short or if you find it to be a complex issue, consider consulting with a professional audio technician or an electrician who has experience in troubleshooting such setups. Best of luck in resolving the issue!

Hi I have two questions 1 how do I also connect sub woofers on one zone of that regulator or volume switch. 2 how can I run it that one zone can be reduced from other zones and use it for my self example if I want to use the speakers on zone 3 for myself completely and I switched it of from the amplifier being the source and play music with my phone later can switch on when am done
@ProAcoustics
@ProAcoustics 2 месяца назад
I'll do my best to answer both of your questions. 1. The volume controls on the zone regulator are specific to each zone and are assigned to one amplifier. You can connect the subwoofer to the desired zone just like you would connect any 70V speaker. 2. If you require the ability to assign the subwoofer to specific zones and control it independently, you would need a matrixing multi-zone amplifier setup. I recommend reaching out to our sales engineers, who can provide further guidance if needed. Feel free to contact us at (888) 256-4112 or email sales@proacoustics.com.

Yes, it's possible to add reverb to your microphone signal without changing your amplifier setup. In your case, you would connect your microphone to the input of the effects processor, then connect the output of the effects processor to the mic input of your Monacor 900 amplifier. Just ensure the effects processor has the necessary XLR connections to avoid needing additional adapters for 1/4" inputs/outputs.
