It's carpet tile, you know, kind of like regular tile without grout? The advantage of carpet tile is the ability to create patterns with the tiles. If you want a "seemless" job lay regular carpet.
This is all good and everything for nice square corners-- but what about irregular shapes? Like the base of a rock or stone wall chimney hearth- approx 6' x22"
You guys are talking about speed.... how fast can a person do this? I am an exacting person so I tend to do things a bit slow but I have a possible job lined up to do 5000 square feet of this stuff so I imagine I will want to move fast to get the biggest buck for my hour. I really have no idea how much to bid. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. This work is very needed since hard times have hit me. I don't even have running water for crying out loud.

Dont put these in your home, the seams look terrible. Carpet tile is used in commercial spaces %99 of the time. Youll be much happier getting tackless instead of this junk.
Annnnnd action! Laying carpet squares bc we are terrible at T-Seams, head Seams, quater turn seams! Pretty much anywhere we have to put two individuals pieces of carpet together! Whomever thought of and designed these carpet squares ended up fucking professional installers right in the ass! I was on a crew that renovated an entire Hampton Inn Hotel. And instead of us making 1.50$ a square foot we made a little less than half of that bc of how Low the bids could go bc there's zero seems involved w carpet squares!
The average Joe most likely has a utility blade lying around. Hook blade means another trip to the store and unless you're cutting shingles afterwards, not a lot of use after.
