Great review! You're the first person I've seen use a CD slot holder to mount the display, which is what I'm thinking about doing as well, so glad to see that it works!

If you go for the W103 just know the arm mount has a male ball joint end in the I part you can remove, so it won't go on a generic CD player mount. Carpuride had a CD player mount with the correct mounting bracket on their web site for roughly the same price as a generic CD player mount.

Nice video।। Is the mounting option on the dashboard by sticking it on a 3M tape is durable and without any risk of vibrations or danger of peeling off or coming out on pumpy or potholes on roads. Is there any wireless option to connect car stereo to listen music from the phone apps

Thanks for the video! Really helpful. Is there an external power bank to power it instead of using the car’s cigarette lighter 12v port? I want to avoid using my car’s electrical system.

If you really wanted to you could cut the end off that plugs into the cig outlet. And wire it to work off the accessories switch. Just run the power and ground then the accessories to a fuse that comes on with the key. Just make sure to put a fuse inline so if something happens your protected.

Your carpuride will come with 2 brackets. One for the dash and the other with a suction cup. On the suction cup you can use the ball bracket mount and attached to the carpuraide unit withouth the suction piece.

I understand you must connect fequencies from the carpuride and radio to get sound on the car speaker, but, how do you play radio stations both am and fm on th carpuride?

You would need the radio station's app, the units do not have an AM/FM antenna built in. So you can't listen to the radio and hear your GPS navigation or phone calls/texts at the same time if using the FM transmitter in the unit.

I have another one with 10 inch but the menu buttons on left side different that volume button. I cant see any setting for closing the clicking sound. Thats annoying and also google assistant wont let anyother. Language English and some other languages there s not all the languages. For example Finnish Or Turkish

Did the female bracket that attached to the back of the carpuride that accepts the ball mount come with the carpuride unit? Mine did not. I already have the cd Mount but it has a ball and the bracket that came with the carpuride has a ball too.

Yes. It's a different product. The cd mount in the link is usually for phones but it can be used for this product.

What mount are you connecting the unit to the CD player mount with? My W103 has the male ball joint connected to the mounting brackets, and I'm having trouble finding a female bracket that has the correct mounting bracket to fit in the back of the unit.

@@AutoSensation thanks. I found the official mount in the Carpuride website. The problem is finding a bracket that fits in the back of the unit. So I'll just be ordering the official CD player mount for the same price as the one you linked. Probably just take 2 weeks to get to me like the W103 did (but I got that on sale for over $120 off, so the wait for the money saved wasn't horrible). I might get a 12v fast charger, as well, since the W103 will charge my phone, but not fast (only about 20% charge in an hour of driving).

You need to separate the suction mount from the ball mount bracket. (Carpuride). Then attach the ball mount to the carpuride. Then get the aftermarket cd slotted mount and attach to the ball mount on the carpuride.

They have a CD player mount on their website, as well. I think it is $13 US. It has the correct mounting bracket on the CD player mount to hook the 7", 9", and 10" models (the 10" model uses a different ball joint configuration from the 7"and 9" models).

@@AutoSensation The male ball joint connection on my W103 is on the actual part you can remove from the suction cup mount. So it can't connect to the CD player mount I have (which I got because I saw your video) because you can't connect male to male.

For the same price you can just buy a new stereo and have it installed. It'll look and sound 100 times better, you won't have to go through all of the in's and out's of settings to get something done. And you don't have to have you car looking like you can't afford a real stereo; if you can afford an Iphone you can afford a real stereo. This is a thumbs down times 2 video

Not true I just got an estimate of 550 to change and install a new stereo in my 2015 SUV , the lowest quote I got was 380. I bought a device like this for $138.00 off Amazon. Its much more affordable if you can't afford to replace the stereo in your car at the time. Thumbs up for me 👍🏾

Maybe if you are buying those cheap $100 head units and installing it yourself. But those units aren't great. You're looking at at least $300 for a decent head unit, plus installation cost if you don't do it yourself. So at least $500 in that case. The manufacturer runs sales on their website all the time. I got my W103 10" unit for $251 direct from Carpuride, but I'd be looking at $350 for a decent mid range head unit, plus another $350 for installation in my area. $251 vs $700. You may pay more or less for installation depending on where you live.
