Thanks, plain and simple. For some reason, my fascia board also has a 1x2 nailed to the face, under the drip edge. I haven't found a video yet that shows that. It's an old roof, maybe something that's not done anymore.
What others said about the tab you left unfinished! Bend it before you cap it with rake piece. You don’t need that many nails in rake edge. When you roof it will get plenty of nails
Sir I getting a shed cabin and would like the shed builder to place a drip edge as the roof line is only a inch to frame. I hear this is not necessary for metal roof..confused. Thanks.
Thank you for the great instructions you provide. I really enjoy your videos. However, I have a question. How do we weather proof the sides which back up against the back wall. I have a brick veneer house, but the concern would be the same regardless of it being weatherboard or brick veneer. My concern is when it rains directly in that area (back house wall) or when the wind pushes the rain in that direction, it will rot out the back wall. Does anyone here have any ideas or suggestions to deal with this? Thank you guys in advance 🙏
This was not done correctly at all...lol. You used gutter apron as drip edge on the rakes...you also didn't bend the ends under the rake metal. Not to mention you used 30# felt paper for underlayment on a low sloped roof. Nobody should use this as any example
