This video shows how to install the Falcon pi Player. This is a show scheduler that runs on a raspberry pi micro computer.

Anyone have a problem with low audio out of your pi 3 when running fpp? It works fine, controls sequences, etc, but the volume control on the status page has no affect and overall volume is very low. No picap installed. Any ideas?

if I am running this offline with no internet connection and just plug in the pi. What time does the clock start at? Or will it use the internal clock from the OS as long as it has been setup prior to the offline setup.

How does it communicate with your pixel controllers? Ethernet cable? And what if you have multiple controllers??

JC-Details yes, ethernet. You use a network switch for multiple controllers

I just got my raspberry pi and I'm wondering how to do you hook up ws2811 pixel lights to it. I don't have any pixel controllers. I've just been using an Arduino to drive the pixels via the Vixen software.

Juicetin C Ive never done that so I cant help! I know it can be done. You might want to think about getting a falcon picap. Snaps on to your pi and gives you the benefits of a pixel controller.

You can connect the pixel wires to the pi GPIO pins. Google the GPIO pin out for your version of Pi(Zero, 2B, 3B,3B+, 4) and use that to choose what pins you need to connect to. You can also ask for help doing this on the xLights support group on Facebook.

Hey, I followed your instructions. I have all the files on the formatted card, however when I plug in the raspberry pi the screen goes black for about 5 seconds then turns off. The pi only shows a solid red light. Is there something I missed or co you have any suggestions? I have re-formatted and installed the files multiple times with the same result. Thanks

I am using the SDformatter. I am using a mac also. One thing I noticed today was after I download Falcon Pi Player, it seems to automatically un-zip the files into a folder. from there I was copying all the files and pasting them into my SD card. maybe that is where I go wrong? Thank you so much for your help.

Chad Alvarado extract them to your docs folder then copy the extracted filed over to the sd card

I got it loaded on my pi and get an ip address of 192.168.2.112, but I cannot ping it or pull it up on any other computer in my house. Do I have to be wire connected to the same router or can I be wireless to it for the fpp to come up in my browser. Sorry for the questions, I am new to Raspberry's and Falcons.

Kevin Duffy what is the IP address of your computer? If its too different from what you set your pi to it wont connect. Your computer should be something like 192.168.2.100

I rebooted my router so my ip for the pi is 192.168.1.110 and my computer is 192.168.1.100

you should be able to plug your pi into your router now. The type in fpp.local/ into your web browser to connect. or you can just try typing in the IP address.

it stores your media. So your music files and the sequence files.

Some where along the line you left out a bunch of steps. You just don't jump to the main screen as you show. You have to log in. and run another command, at least that's what I have to do. And I still can't get it to work properly. My screen jumps all over the place.

mas11ful i did not have to do those things. What you see if what i did. What raspberry pi version are you running? Are you using quality sd and usb drives? Are they formatted properly?

I am using a pi 3 model B. USB port and card reader work fine. I can install NOOBS and run Raspbian with no problem. FPP does not load properly. Screen jumps and only a raspberry and trash symbol are on the screen.

no. I followed the instructions: formatting the SD card and then installing v1.8 of FPP. I've tried everything and I still get nothing like your video shows.
