Same process for 2007-2012? I am having problems fitting mine onto the servo motor case, and it was recommended to me that I mount to the battery tray. Thanks.
We have a separate video for the 07-12 model. Please follow the link below to view that procedure: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w2LMsATr4jU.html
Although we typically mount to the servo case, if your needs are different for some reason the the battery tray is potentially a suitable other mounting surface. You just need to ensure your battery is safe from any fasteners protruding from the tray. The battery is filled with acid and you do not want anything piercing through it during installation, or wearing through it over time.
I drive a 2006 CBR600RR and I have friends telling me this assembly will get you pull over by cops. Excuse(s) used is: obstruction of license plate(obstructed license plate). Claim is that it needs to be clearly visible, and that is not OEM. Cops will give you a "Fix It" ticket ,just like when you get pull over for a noisy muffler.
jxgonza1jg As always, mounting an aftermarket product may not be legal in all jurisdictions. Please check with your local DOT to make sure that it is legal before mounting this kit. When mounted in this location the view of the license plate is not obstructed and a vehicle following behind can easily read your tag. Law is pretty subjective so local cops can have a problem with this location regardless of the fact that the plate is visible. Best thing to do is check first.
Sometimes you want nice things and can't have it because of some stupid law and regulations. LOL. It would have look so nice having this in my bike. Enjoy and drive safely my friends.
Would an European motorcycle plate fit this (vertical clearance)? Ours are a square shape rather than US rectangular plates. I think the dimensions are 200x200 or 180x180 millimeters
@@TSTindustries Well that's too bad. I really liked the idea of tucking my plate under the tail with this mount but I'll have to figure something else out. Thanks for the reply!
You must have done something differently because we never install any of these brackets in a way that interferes with the battery. The battery capsule contains acid. That is the last component you want something to wear through. Please disassemble the setup and change it so that the re is no contact with battery. The battery tray on this bike has ridges and troughs. If you put your fastener in the trough it will not protrude high enough to contact the battery. You can use the screw head from the inside, and the nut from the underside. This way you have the shortest height component going under the battery. As long as it is in the trough part of the battery tray then you should be fine.
@@TSTindustries I'll look it over again and see if I can move it down or up but as of rt now it's exactly like the video install, my battery is as big as the tray. I'll try to flip the bolts over and check the clearance that way.
If you have to keep the screws where they are I would recommend flipping them so the head is inside and using a thin (3/16" ~ 1/4") polyethylene or EVA foam sheet between the tray and the battery. The foam sheet is available in many places and doesn't cost much. You just want to isolate the battery from hardware so it doesn't chew through the battery enclosure.
The F4i is simpler than this installation. It's just a straight plug and play without the need to take pins out of a connector. You can find the appropriate part in this product list tstindustries.com/honda-f4-f4i-all-years/
We have installed these on many 03-04, 05-06, 07-12, and 13+ CBR 600RR bikes. We designed this in 2004, and it has been in production ever since, with thousands of successful installation.
Yes you can. You can add the RR Pod Kit we have specifically for the 600RR. Here is the link again: tstindustries.com/TST-LED-Rear-Signal-Kit-Honda-03-16-CBR600RR-04-07-CBR1000RR.html
No. It's actually a different part for that bike but the good news is that the installation is much easier. Here is a link to our video on the 06-07 model: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-89FCjyrK1e0.html . Here is a link to the page on our website that contains the part you are interested in: tstindustries.com/Honda-CBR-1000RR-2004-2007/
3rd coast jeeplos 006 oh, my mistake. I am sorry about that. So to answer your original question , yes this same kit works on the 1000rr years 2004-2007. I tried to find our video for that bike but realized that since the installation is so similar to 03-06 600 we did not shoot a dedicated vid for the 1000.
