Hello friends in this video i'm going to demonstrate you how to install ASM with RDBMS software step by step.
In this tutorial we are using VMware 9, Oracle Linux 5.8, and ASM R2 with RDBMS R2 (11.2.0.1) versions.

Will you please tell me how to configer udev in oracle linux 7. Coz the commands like/sbin/scsi_id -g -u -s /block/sdb and start_udev dose not exist anymore on OL7

Yes Balaji, The minimum RAM 8GB, Processer i3 but if you want better performance use 16 GB RAM and i5 processor with SSD storage. It depends on your budget.

difference between yuminstall and rpm -uvh to install rpm

With rpm you need to have the software in your operative system, maybe in a filesystem there, but while with yuminstall you will to install downloading from internet the packages or software

sir i have installed 1. oracleasmlib-2.0.4-1.el6.x86_64 2. oracleasm-support-2.1.8-1.el6.x86_64 for rhel 6 but third rpm which is oracleasm-2.6.9-34.ELsmp-2.0.1-1.i686.rpm (in your doc) not found anywhere for rhel 6 I have searched a lot. Please help.

OCP Technology Thank Sir for your response. Believe me i have searched too much but not found for el6. If u have any link to download pls share. I have also installed oracleasm el5 rpm but it is not working. Same error occured.
