One thing I did notice in the video was the reflection in the windshield...it appeared to have a double reflection. That would be kind of annoying.

Scotty, the plastic film it comes with isn't just to reflect the image, it also makes it so you don't get a double image on the window that makes it look blurry. I'm sure some people don't mind, but don't want people thinking it's just some useless piece of plastic.

Hey Scotty when I was a little kid I would stay at my aunt and uncles house a couple of weekends a year which gave my parents a break from me for them to go out and enjoy themselves and and my aunt Irene and uncle Carl were never able to have children so they loved to have one of the nieces or nephews to take care of and spoil. Which if it was you it was great. Anyway I used to love to go running around with my uncle and he always love a big ole Buick and I remember when he had the one that the speedometer was like a bright green line to a certain speed then changed to bright yellow and then bright orange and finally when you were going like hell it was finally a bright red and that in itself was one of the neatest things I had ever seen and loved it! But the total topper of all that was they had invented some way of reflecting it up onto the windshield of the car! They were the only cars that I ever remember doing that and when you were little like I was then you could sit and watch that thing for ever. Do you or any of your viewers remember this and I guess did they think it was the greatest thing since Frosted Flakes like I did or not? Because these were both of that era and as we all know "There Great"

I got one these year ago. It alerted me truck was starting to over heat before dash guage did. Got my attention right away. Can use them to reset dash needles if you have to take cluster apart to replace odometer gear or something

hi Scotty, I have got a Toyota spacia 98 model. On a couple of occasions when stepped on the clutch ( while moving) the drive rear wheels seems to seize or jam up cos there was a great big bang from down under but then it was good again. Looks like it seizes then the wheels got free again what could be so wrong?

Hey there Scotty the part # in your description doesn't come up to the unit you bought and installed, it comes up with a another cheaper one that is almost nothing like yours other than its a heads up display. I want to say thank you man, your videos are very educational and not drawn out like some of these other guys on here. There are free smartphone apps which do the same thing as this for free and use GPS which is more accurate for speed. A $20 bluetooth/OBD2 dongle gets the info directly from your car, wirelessly. Also, fighter jet HUDs are set up differently and have a dedicated plexi-glass panel used to display this information, which is separate from the windscreen itself. Unlike fighter jets, cars have double-pane windshields. The image projected onto your windshield from your "HUD" is blurry because the image is reflecting off both panes of glass and those images are offset from each other. That's why they provided that clear plastic sheet. You're quite a character, I enjoy your videos.

I installed this unit in my 2000 toyota celica, it worked fine for about a week then I noticed that the airbag light stays on whenever it's plugged in. should I be concerned?

scotty my 49 year old friend is a well known mechanic like you where I live and he told me to find a way to remove the speed limiter or raise it on any car, he has advanced dealer type of ECU computers too, do you think telling the car ECU the tires are smaller than their actual size will raise the speed limit? is there any better way to do it?

hi scotty i have a toyota celica 97 model 1.8 injection i have problems on my back wheels like catching scrapping?could this be calipers sticking my handbrake cable comes up to far up to any help would be most welcomed from uk.

I tried that using my Android tablet with the Torque app and inverting the image. The biggest problem is the double image, which will always be present unless you use an actual mirror. Also, without optical collimation, like on a real aircraft HUD, your eye will need to refocus every time you take a glance which can be a safety issue and produce eye strain.

Thanks for the video Scotty I drive an 07 Prius and I would like to know things like coolant temperature and engine RPM those types of things which the car won't display for the driver and maybe I could get the power display to show me a power in kilowatts maybe I can get a power in electrical kilowatts only showing me what's going in versus what's coming out of the battery maybe even a battery percentage display instead of the crappy bar graph that is already built into the car thanks for turning me on to this products Gotti keep up the good videos the non-sponsored ones.

The box for this thing has a pre-OBDII sports car going down a twisting road at 70kph, while the readout shows 128mph. It's the attention to detail that I love in these cheap-o Chinese products.

You can also use apps like "Torque" on your iPhone/Android as created custom displays which you can move from car to car with a compatible OBDII cable. I think I might find that distracting on the windshield as you have it.

How quickly does it respond to changes in speed and engine rpm? I've found on some apps on my phone using the obd2 port to be delayed a bit.

Scotty I do have a question here concerning that little device, I currently have issues with my gas gauge needle going from "full" to empty" and all parts between while I drive (It does not read fuel accurately), IF I bought this little gizmo, would it give me the true reading of my fuel levels or would it also get its info from the same place that fuel gauge is? Hey Scotty, I have been trying to figure out a problem on my 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.3l 5 speed 4x4. A while ago I replaced my oil pan gasket, water pump, timing chain cover, etc. I had removed and reinstalled the old crankshaft position sensor and replaced the o ring before reinstallation (Haynes manual said to). Also harmonic balancer had been removed and reinstalled.After I had everything reassembled and ready to go I had to remove the distributor to prime the oil pump because I was not getting any oil pressure by cranking the motor with coil wire unplugged. When reinstalling distrib. I made sure engine was at TDC on cylinder 1 distrib. went in just fine. After the repair I have been getting a P0016 MIL - Crankshaft position vs. intake camshaft position correlation bank 1 fault. Experiencing hard start up and rough idle after startup which sometimes results in the motor stalling. Also at low rpm while in gear (such as taking off from a dead stop or even driving at 50mpg in 5th gear) or at very high rpm I hear a metalic rattle, it sounds like its coming from the transmission / flywheel area but I know sound can travel. This sound is also made with clutch pedal fully pressed down. Exhaust coming from tail pipe smells very rich. I stupidly ended up buying a new crankshaft position sensor ($70) after checking the wiring harness (which looked fine). The instructions that came with the new sensor said the computer may need to relearn the crankshaft position sensor if the sensor is ever removed / replaced via Tech2. I supposedly successfully relearned the crankshaft position sensor but I am still having this issue. Ignition advance at idle is 21 degrees. At 2000 rpm ignition advance is 35 degrees.Any ideas as to what I should look at or where I may have gone wrong.Thank you for reading and input-Adam
