In this video, I unbox, build and review this full motion desk mount from Huanuo on Amazon for my LG 34 Inch Ultrawide Curved monitor.
I wanted a full-motion desk mount for a while. I found this one on sale on Prime Day this year and had to get it.
The instructions are unclear like many items you get on items, so I hope this video helps you!

Great video, was a little nervous setting my stand up because I have the same desk as you but not curved and was scared whether the top would break with the weight and clamp force of the stand but seeing you do it gives me some piece of mind.

My brother!!!! I cant tell you how long i have been trying to find someone with the same desk and mount a screen to the desk. I have always been worried about it shattering or something with a big monitor. Now i can buy a bigger monitor and this mount. Legend! Subbed

In order to solve your centering problem, just don't attach the arm to the center of the desk, attach it a little to right, so when you swivel the arm to the right, and bring the monitor down, it would be perfectly centered.

Thanks for watching and for the response. My goal was to have the mount that attaches to the desk and the monitor be both centered. This was not possible due to my desk being pushed up close to the wall. At this point have moved the mount to the left to have at least the monitor centered like you suggested.

@@TechwithLukee yeah my monitor and desk are very close to the back of my wall, that’s what i was scared of at first if it was gonna have to take up all my desk space and be inches away from my eyes, but yeah moving it to the side to be centered with the arm so i have all the room.

@@TechwithLukee I was wondering, did you have any issues with the mount tilting very slightly (a tiny tiny amount) a little bit forward down? I've got pretty much the same monitor as you (LG, 34 curve - 24 pounds) and I noticed it tends to lean a bit, i've got the tension on max but it refuses to hold

@@Consumerdad85 If your talking about the monitor itself being able to tilt up and down. There is a screw on the left or right of the piece that mounts to the screen. If you loosen it and then tilt your screen up further than you would like than tighten it. The weight of the monitor should bring it down to level. You may have to try it a couple times to get it right. I hope that helps

I also have the same desk. It looks like it bends the glass down. Has that been an issue? Also, the mount not fitting around the lip concerns me. Do you have any alternate mount suggestions to pick up for this specific desk which fit it properly?

I'm not sure if you still read these comments but I do have two questions. Are you still using this mount and how are you liking it? Second, when you tilt the monitor, does the rotation snap so the monitor is always aligned?

Hey Incite, thank you for watching and for commenting! Yes I still use and love the mount! The monitor actually rotates freely and does not snap. So you can have it at any angle as long as long as your cords allow it.

@@TechwithLukee I think this stand has everything that I want except for the snapping part. My issue with my current mount is that if either I or my cat nudge the monitor, then it tilts and it takes forever to readjust it. I sometimes have to resort to using spirit level lol. Absolutely, I completely understand! I have not experienced that issue with this stand. It only rotates when I manually position it.

What about moving your arm to the right you will be able to center the monitor and and push your desk at the wall?

Moving the arm to the right and pushing the desk against the wall unfortunately doesn’t center it. It offsets the monitor to the opposite side of the arm because the top arm of the mount is longer than the bottom.

Just move the base to the right until the monitor is centered. Should be pretty easy to calculate with a measuring tape to have the monitor dead centered.

@@RiccardoTheWatchHunter You are correct Riccardo, offsetting the base would center the monitor screen. I personally just prefer to have everything centered for aesthetics purposes.

I think if you reset the base of the stand to the right or left and readjust then u can have the monitor in the middle. Base dosent have to be in center

Could you just move the mount to the left or right or where ever to have it centered and have more space? right now my monitor and desk are inches away from the wall, so i’d have to move it to the left or wherever so the monitor is centered.

Hi, yes you're absolutely right. That is what I ended up doing, I would have prefered to have everything centered. But it sill looks great either way.

Maybe better to move the clamp of the monitor arm non centered so the monitor can be centered when the desk is completely against the wall? Better to have the clamp non centered than the monitor right?

I agree with you, after a few months the clamp being non-centered is better than the screen being off-center.

How many inches to the left did you move it to have it centered on your desk? I am like you I need it to be pushed all the way to the back. I am surprised they didn’t include an option to slide it left and right for perfect centering. Lots of tv mounts out there have that option.

I had to move it a little over a foot to the left to get it centered but i also keep the desk slightly away from the wall as well to help. You can see it in my most recently posted video.

Also how close to the table are you able to push the bottom of the edge of the monitor. I got the 34 inch of ultra wide and I feel the top of the monitor is too high.

I can push it all the way down to where the bottom edge of the monitor is touching the desk.

Are you not worried that the pressure from the clamp will crack the tempted glass desk top of the tresanti desk?

Good question, I don’t worry about that for a couple of reasons. The clamp itself has a rubber pad on the part that sits on the top of the desk. The clamp also has a wide surface area that seems to distribute the pressure well. I try not to over extend the arm to not add extra pressure and the Tresanti desk has pretty thick glass on top.

I hope you kept it as you did in the last 30 seconds of the video. I got the HNSS6 one and I may have clearance issues since my desk is against a wall too. But for gaming I feel I needed my monitor closer and having the extra desk space seems worth the trouble. How is the pressure mount holding up at this point would you say it is sturdy? I hate to drill and find I have issues with clearance. I wish I would of gotten the HNSS7 as it has a better weight and size capability plus the usb pass through cable might come in handy.

It's still holding up very well actually. I did end up moving the base to the left so I could center the monitor better which worked out well. Drilling is the best option I believe for stability but I didn't have that option with this disk. If you can get a sold piece underneath your desk or on the lip to tighten the mounting screw it should be very stable.

on the C clamp part how much space is there between the tightening disc and the other part of the stand? I have a similar desk to you but the lip on my desk is about a half a inch or so, maybe a bit less.

The lip on my desk is about 2.5 inches. You should have plenty of room for your desk.

Actually no, I moved the mount over to where there was more supporting metal underneath the desk. With a few small rubber pads, It is sitting very securely now. If I move in the future though I will need to use that piece of wood.

16:45 - Can you confirm that it does in fact go up to 21" in height? I'm seeing some conflicting reviews stating that it only does 17ish and I'm a tall guy looking to move my monitor more to eye-level center screen. Thanks Luke!

Hi Kaero, I just measured it and from top of desk to center of mounting plate is exactly 21 inches when fully extended up. I have a 34 inch wide monitor and from top of desk to bottom of the monitor is 13.5 inchs and from top of desk to top of monitor it is 27.5 inches. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching!

Yeah the problem wasn’t that i couldn’t figure that out. It was the fact that I wanted the mount to be centered with the monitor.

Use one of the Allan keys provided to adjust the tension screw at the top of the arm! Make sure your monitor is attached first.
