In this video I'll show you how to install LED headlights for your Hyundai Sonata YF. First I'll show you a technique I used so that I could fit the dust covers over the LED lights. I had to get creative and think outside of the box. So I soldered on an extra copper fitting to create the space I needed for the dust cover to fit. If you're having trouble with your dust cover not fitting then hopefully this video will help you out.

Yes, some LED bulbs are polarity sensitive. In these cases you only need to swap the two leads. If that will be difficult after the bulbs are installed, test the bulbs before fully installing them. To avoid the need for the clamp, I probably would have fished a couple of passes of fine copper or pre-tinned wire through the holes before soldering. Having both a solder and a mechanical connection is much stronger. Note: As with halogen headlight capsules, use care not to get fingerprints or dirt on the LED chips themselves as this can cause them to locally overheat and shorten their life.

How does that fan keep the bulb cool in the enclosure when the dust cover is in place? Doesn't the hot air need to go somewhere?

The fan distributes the heat of the LED & driver throughout the headlight enclosure. The headlight enclosure has a fairly large surface area exposed to outside air so the heat should not build up much within the enclosure.
