For anyone sitting in a "boot loop" while installing it. Try reducing your processor amount to 2 (from half to 2). It helped me and hope you too. It would be installing and after a long while I whould see the VirtualBox logo pop up with no error code what so ever. So shut the machine down > go to settings and reduce the processors to 2.

This is by far the best tutorial for getting Mac OS in virtual machine out there in my opinion also the OS file contains no viruses or unwanted bloatware

Ah man... A little disappointed. Not because this didn't work, IT DID! Its been the most successful tutorial I've had so far o thank you! My disappointments stem from why I wanted mac on my PC. To run Garageband. Unfortunately i cant instal it because i need mac version 12.3 or later. Highly appreciate the helpful video regardless but its something to consider for any other users who intend to try out some of Mac OS's dedicated software. Edit 1: Managed to find an older version that is actually downloading, will update this comment on results and information if anyone is interested to know. Edit 2: Alright, good news! it works. GarageBand loads up and seemingly works as normal. The bad news, it’s super slow (maybe this could be dependant on the PC specifications). For the most part the whole OS runs a little slower and laggy than the standard but the slowdowns crank up when using software intended for heavy ram use. My PC has 32gb ram (dual 16gb 3600mhz, CL16), RTX 2060, Ryzen 5 4600G. I allocated the max amount of everything I could. RAM is set to 24421 MB (I’ve tried 8000, 16000, 20000 and 24000 also and there’s not much difference in performance). I assigned it 6 cores (gonna try out 4 cores for the giggles now). The OS doesn’t recognise my focusrite or midi keyboard (with the correct drivers installed to the OS). I can use my computer keyboard to play notes. Sound unfortunately are subject to stutter and realistically speaking they are completely useless because of this. I tried watching a RU-vid video, sound was okay for that but the pictures refresh rate wasn’t great. When I tried a RU-vid video with GarageBand open; the sound crackling was there. Ultimately my computer isn’t good enough to run this smoothly. But the driver issues with the MIDI controller and audio interface were the biggest let down. No matter the speed, without those testing Playing instruments into GarageBand isn’t possible. Was a fun experiment though! EDIT 3. Okay… 4 cores works far better than 6! Not perfect, far less crackle but still not perfect. Far more stability for me using 4 cores. Potential final edit lol: tried recording using the better speed from using less cores, worked for 2 seconds then started getting funky and not in the musical sense!

guys if you get an error saying AMD-V is disabled in the BIOS and you use AMD processor its simple. Restart your laptop/desktop. Then, on the boot screen, press the BIOS key (F2, F4, F8, F10, F12, or the Del key) to enter into BIOS mode. The BIOS key may vary depending on computer models. But you can follow the on-screen instructions or search it online. In the BIOS interface, navigate to Advanced > CPU Configuration. In this tab, make sure the AMD-V or AMD SVM is enabled. The specific path and the virtualization technology name may vary depending on different BIOS versions. Press F10 to save the changes and then exit from BIOS. It may be difficult to find the settings but it should be there. somewhere in the advanced section

Updating only gives me the "Package %@ is missing or invalid" after downloading for an hour. I tried looking for a solution but I cant seem to find one that works. How can I fix this?

AMD machine must have AMD-V enabled which means you may need hyper-v enabled. Otherwise, you won't get past “VBoxInternal/Devices/smc/0/Config/GetKeyFromRealSMC” 1 and thus encounter error trying to run the VM.

I did everything again and got the same error message, but I am not giving up. The virtual machine failed to boot. That might be caused by a missing operating system or a misconfigured boot order. Mounting an operating system install DVD might solve this problem. Selecting an ISO file will attempt to mount it after the dialog is closed.

Hi, thanks for this tutorial! It finally worked with me, however, when I log in with my apple id, I get this message: "This Mac is no longer eligible to create apple ID accounts. Create an apple ID using a different device" Please note that I'm not creating a new account, this is a current account that is working fine. Also, I tried using a second account, same issue. Then tried creating an apple account, still, can't do that with this virtual machine. What am I missing? Could it be that many people used this link so it reached a maximum and apple stopped it?
