thank you for the awesome guide. Not my first build, but a super strange problem. I'm creating Big Sur/ Monterey usb, (tried both on Mac and Windows machine) and it creates 13-15GB usb, I throw in my custom EFI folder to EFI partition, all good. When I got to boot on my Dell laptop, it boots up fine but it's recovery it wants to go on internet with error "an internet connection is required to install macos hackintosh reddit" and disk utility shows only 1.8GB for the USB. If I create full media from legit image (non-Olarila) then I can't boot. I've searched everywhere for days, most answers are "create a full install media, instead of using recovery"... not helpful, I'm totally using 15GB files (tried different Big Sur images), can you, please, point me in the right direction?

hello, It was nice video. easy to follow. but for some reason my minisform mini PC alder lake series stops in the middle of installation . My guesstimate is I have an incompatible PList in the EFI . I have to accept that it may not always work on any PC ./anyway more power to your channel. Merci!

After I clicked on reset nvram, I got a persistent black screen. Everything went well up to that point. I got this error "The virtual machine failed to boot. That might be caused by a missing operating system or misconfigured boot order. Mounting an operating system install DVD might solve this problem. Selecting an ISO file will attempt to mount it after the dialog is closed." tested with 2 different ISO file still the same. Any clue? Thanks!

Was able to boot until doing a reboot after copying efi files on a dual boot setup. Windows boots still fine, but MacOS boot selection is now gone after that reboot. No opencore or anything. Edit: So it's still only boots from usb, and my bios doesn't seem to have the option to set a custom entry in the boot sequence. I wonder if there's a way to copy this to my internal ssd so I don't need the USB anymore...

Just to let people know remember this is for GPT partitions only with UEFI don't THINK IT works on MBR MASTER BOOT PARTITIONS. because you need to have the GUID Partition Table. that's why it would not work on my Alienware 18 R3 I have MBR Petition table

I could be wrong, but I have read that you spoof it as 11th Gen. Doing so will disable E-Cores. You may want to double check my info.

@@teema.everythingtech i also have a dell, only thing that was different for me was that the V-partition with old EFI didnt show up in Explorer++ until i clicked on hide and unhide in minitool partition wizard. after that it was there, but when i deleted the old file from EFI the recycle bin stayed in the folder. then i pasted the new EFI and now there is EFI Recycle Bin and System Vol... i hope the recycle bin is not the issue :O and thank you for your help!

THANKS a lot ! It worked like a charm and still do ! Only iCloud don't work but I don't going to blame 🤣🤣 Just : I can't do the dualboot option, even when I copy EFI into the destination, my MSI bios only propose me "Windows Boot Manager" to boot op, not my MacOs EFI folder that I past in it.

You didn’t set the EFI properly in that case. You should be able to dualboot

I have Ventura and High Sierra on OpenCore. From Ventura, I formated the High Sierra Volume and started the Sonoma installation to that volume. It seems to have installed correctly but after the Apple logo startup, I get a black screen. Any ideas?

I could at least start a user account. but at login it freezes. I am on iGPU intel 630 for now as my AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT died last month.

@@gannggang yes, I have an RX 590 and iGPU Intel 630. Same thing on both, after the Apple logo it goes to a black screen.

@@megatronskneecap I actually got it working. Have Windows, High Sierra, Ventura, Sonoma, Mint and Kali on my PC (don't ask why 😂) and they're all working very nice. BTW, I'm on an i7-7700K (MSI) if anyone needs the EFI I used.

Hi, I installed it on my HP laptop. Everything went fine except the touch pad won't work even while installing the OS and I'm forced to use an external bluetooth mouse and no WiFi setup option, while finishing the final steps the WiFi option was not enabled and even later I cannot turn ON the option to connect it to the internet. No, mac os dont have support for nVidia cards since OSX, so, any os released AFTER osX will work with nVidia, Sierra to os 12 works with AMD, and now works only with M1 and M2 propietary apple chipsets, still you can try the Kext "liquidMetal".

It’s normal the datatype from your drive is not readable under windows, if you plug the drive out and again in windows try’s to format the stick

Create a partition on your drive with atleast 60gb. Shrink the current partition and then create a new simple volume with the unallocated partition.

You could boot windows in a pen drive and setup everything you need
