Check Installation Media: Ensure that the installation media (ISO or disk image) for macOS Sonoma is correctly attached to the virtual machine. Verify that the installation media is bootable and contains the necessary files. Boot Order Configuration: Access the virtual machine’s BIOS or UEFI settings (usually by pressing a specific key during boot, such as F2 or Del). Set the boot order to prioritize the installation media (CD/DVD or ISO) over other boot options. Save the changes and restart the virtual machine. EFI Boot Entry: Sometimes, the issue is related to the EFI boot entry. Set the boot entry to SATA and ensure that the first boot item is the SATA DISK (not the boot.efi entry). You may need to enter the EFI setup during boot (check the “enter setup on next boot” option) to adjust these settings13. VMware Tools and Unlocker: Make sure you have installed the latest version of VMware Tools within the virtual machine. Additionally, consider using the macOS Unlocker tool to enhance compatibility with macOS VMs2

Failed to Query SMC Value from the Host (VERR_INVALID_HANDLE): This error might occur due to incorrect settings or missing components. Ensure that in case of an Intel CPU, both “Virtualization Technology (VT-X)” and “Execute Disable Bit (XD)” are enabled in your computer’s BIOS/UEFI settings. If you have an AMD CPU, ensure that “No Execute (NX)” is enabled. After changing these settings, power-cycle your host (a simple reboot may not be sufficient). If this doesn’t solve the issue, please attach the VM’s vmware.log file for further analysis. Reboot Loop and Kernel Panic: If the installation restarts repeatedly, it could be due to incompatible settings or hardware limitations. Check the following: RAM Allocation: Allocate at least 4 GB of RAM to the virtual machine. CPU Configuration: Use a multi-core processor configuration (e.g., 2 cores). Video Memory: Assign 128 MB or more to video memory. Chipset: Set it to ICH9 or PIIX3. Graphics Controller: Choose VBoxSVGA or VMSVGA. Boot Order: Ensure the boot order includes the macOS Sonoma ISO. Disable Nested Paging: In VM settings, go to System > Acceleration and uncheck Enable Nested Paging. Monitor the Installation: Pay attention to any error messages or kernel panics. Check ISO Integrity: Verify your downloaded Sonoma ISO file is intact and not corrupted. If this was helpful kindly help us reach 1000 subs, hit the subscribe button and share with your friends :)

Hi. I encountered the following problem when trying to install Sonoma. When I start the VM, a BIOS window appears with the texts efi vmware virtual sata hard drive 0.0 efi vmware virtual sata cd rom drive 0.0 I've looked at other solutions, but it all comes down to the fact that there is an Advanced button in the options when configuring the VM. And I don't have such a button. What could be the problem and how to solve it in my case?

make sure your ISO file is bootable or download the ISO file from the link in the video description, also make sure to configure your machine as descripted in the video, this should definitely work

When I starts VM I faced message "CDROM No Media" and "Internal Shell (unsuccessfull)" and then BIOS. Hint on the bottom of screen says "macOS 14 is not installed on this virtual machine. Insert instaler disk and click "Restart VM.""
@EpidemicTutorials-qh6de
@EpidemicTutorials-qh6de Месяц назад
Hi and welcome to my humble channel :) CDROM No Media Error: This error occurs because there’s no operating system installed in the virtual machine, and no installation disc is inserted in the CD-ROM drive. To resolve this, insert the macOS Sonoma installation disc (ISO image) into the CD-ROM drive. Restart the virtual machine and proceed with the installation. Internal Shell (Unsuccessful) Error: The “Internal Shell” message appears when no other bootable device is detected. Verify that the ISO image you’re using is bootable. Ensure that “Connect at power on” is enabled for the virtual CD/DVD drive in the VM’s settings. BIOS Message: If you switch the firmware type from UEFI to BIOS, you’ll see the installation screen. However, after entering the registration code, you might encounter the “This PC doesn’t support Win 11” message. Make sure you’re using the correct ISO file for macOS Sonoma. Additional Tips: Double-check that your ISO file is intact and not corrupted. Consider adjusting video RAM (64-128MB) and chipset settings (PIIX3) if you encounter a black screen. Ensure your VM name has no spaces or punctuation (e.g., “MACOSX” instead of “MAC OSX”). Remember, patience is key during the initial boot-up, as macOS performs disk checks and repairs. If you continue to face issues, consider upgrading to VMware Workstation 16, which may offer better compatibility with macOS Sonoma. Good luck with your installation, and feel free to ask if you need further assistance!" Plz help me quit my Job, subscribe to my channel and share it with your friends

Welcome to my channel l, To fix this issues u need to do the following: Use the unlocker program to patch your VMware, allowing you to select macOS during the virtual machine creation process as described in the video. - Apply the following VMware codes to your VM configuration file (usually named .vmx): cpuid.0.eax = "0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:1011" cpuid.0.ebx = "0111:0101:0110:1110:0110:0101:0100:0111" cpuid.0.ecx = "0110:1100:0110:0101:0111:0100:0110:1110" cpuid.0.edx = "0100:1001:0110:0101:0110:1110:0110:1001" cpuid.1.eax = "0000:0000:0000:0001:0000:0110:0111:0001" cpuid.1.ebx = "0000:0010:0000:0001:0000:1000:0000:0000" cpuid.1.ecx = "1000:0010:1001:1000:0010:0010:0000:0011" cpuid.1.edx = "0000:0111:1000:1011:1111:1011:1111:1111" smbios.reflectHost = "TRUE" hw.model = "iMacPro1,1" board-id = "Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94" serialNumber.reflectHost = "TRUE" serialNumber = "SERIAL_NO_HERE" - - Remember to replace SERIAL_NO_HERE with your own serial number and follow any additional steps provided in the tutorials. - Change the network adapter type to vmxnet3 by adding the line ethernet0.virtualDev = "vmxnet3" to the .vmx file. If you encounter a prohibit sign error during installation, ensure that your virtual machine settings and installation media are correct1.
