I did everything exactly how you said to do it down to a tee , I mean followed every single word so i was all excited to fire my care back up and it wouldn't start and i spent a week trying to figure it out and rewatched the video to make sure I did everything that you told me to do come to find out you never said hook the battery back up and I had to pay the Ford service department $800 to diagnose the problem, 😂🤣😂😜 I had to mess with ya and I had to watch it twice to make sure that you didn't say it so i could poke some fun but you couldn't have covered it any better than the instructions , good instructional video it was most definitely different from the rest and straight to the point and made it look easy which it is but will help someone one day with a install for sure
And yea. That’s why I wanted to just get this out there. No fluff. Straight to the point and it’ll be there for when people need it. Next video is back at the race track 😎
😂🤣 yeah when I see one of your videos pop up i drop everything and watch because lets face it there's not many good channels out there so when I see one I watch it immediately 😂 I was planning on that little joke through the whole video once I figured out what kinda video it was 😂🤣😂 yeah I can't wait to see what it does at the track, does this upgrade help you out at the track??
@@RegularGuyGarage yeah I always enjoy a good laugh and a good joke especially when the party in question actually gets it , There's been a select few that didn't get the joke and thought that I was serious even though I usually make the jokes so farfetched that there's no other way that you could take it, so when that happens I break out the crayons and coloring book and attempt to break it down for them 😂🤣 Oh ok I wasn't sure if u have taken it to the track yet or not but yeah I feel like it is going to help out alot especially the 2 step, this whole time I thought that you had a msd ignition just without the rev limiter and 2step like a ready to run distributor and coil with the cdi box but I with you I feel like your 60ft will get better along with the ET because now you can launch like tussin at 6200 rpm 😜🚗💨💨
I appreciate your Reg Guy videos -in this video you correctly showed the white wire from the TFI harness correctly going to the neg side of the factory coil plug my question is did you connect the positive side of the plug (green/red) using a 12v relay as described in the instructions? ..getting ready to finalize my connections thanks
Im super confused theres no points wire on a MSD box, so are you actually saying the points wire from the TERMINATOR system needs to be hooked to that white wire from the MSD box as well? The way you said it in the video confused
Cool video, surprised you didn’t go with the dual sync that seems to be the go to upgrade with terminator X. By doing this do you save any In’s and Out’s with the terminator X or are you using one now by going this route?
I don’t have to use any Inputs or outputs to run this as is. And now that I have a more capable ignition system the terminator x 2 step should work, so I’ll switch to that when I install my transbrake/bump box and run them all together
@@RegularGuyGarage ok. I’ve not seen this one done yet. Curious to watch. My terminator should be here mid June sometime. Im absorbing all I can get. Why the msd System ? And did it run better? Thanks buddy?
It runs much much better. Starts smoother. The holley had a 2 step also, but I had a hard time getting it to work on the stock ignition system. Just wanted to showcase the one on the MSD for now
I couldn’t get the holley 2 step to work on the stock ignition system. For this video I just wanted to show how to hook up the MSD 2 step. I’m going to try the holley 2 step now with the upgraded ignition system and most likely use that one
Hello got a question im going to relocatemy battery in my trunk i heard that if you extend any of the wires on the box you have to go a gauge size up is the true and do the ground have to go on the neg battery post or just any good metal part of the car thanks
If you go back through my videos, I couldn’t get the 2 step in the terminator x to work at all on the stock ignition system and it would constantly have hard starting issues. As soon as I installed this system I haven’t had one hard start. To each their own 🤷♂️
Cheapest route for most power would be LS. Godzilla would be really cool but I’ve seen guys blowing those up with power adders already. I’m a fan of Windsor’s and Coyotes but that’s more on the expensive side
So if you set the rev limiter the same on the msd and the terminator, which one is actually controlling the rev limiter? Is one preferred over the other?
@@RegularGuyGarage that’s good, yea watch out for it if does happen, I really like all the help you give people on getting them help with the Holley efi/ terminator x edvice
I just got my term x installed in my 347 I’m confused in the settings when your setting up your ignition parameters it ask if it’s tfi or cd box but if you click cd box it says it won’t control sequential injection or timing do you just keep it set to tfi or do you set it to the cd box setting any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Dude, that box will leave you stranded on the road. MSD is absolute fucking garbage, I had an MSD 6AL on my fox with the terminator x shit left me stranded in the middle of an intersection. Went with a cheaper more reliable Pertronix box and haven't had an issue since. MSD boxes were tough as nails back in the day but somewhere down the line their quality went to shit. Trust me, hook it up to where you can easily return it back to stock because when that bitch leaves you stranded you're gonna remember this comment.
