Hello Miguel! That was a very well explained video. I am going to buy an installation disk for my PC and you have really made it clear and easy to understand. Sorry if i sound a bit dumb but what does the partition actually do. So you can install the operating system there but how much space do you actually need to give it. Also does this have any effect on the computers performance. Please can you help me out because i am really inexperienced to computers. Thanks once again.

1 question: When I reinstall can I format only my main partition(the one with the previous windows), and keep the files on my secondary partition. Great video btw.

(Most of what I do runs on XP reason why I seldom use the later versions) HOWEVER, I noticed that you were using the Oracle Virtual machine. Are you using that on a Unix machine to Run This demo of Windows installation? or what is the Story here? Reason for this Q is to know if I can indeed run Win UNIX or Apple Machine. Gracias Miguel.

The fishy thing is the product key. I am going to install Windows 7 in a new laptop tomorrow. I don't know how to do this...I watched this carefully..now..hope for the best!!

I have several SSD drives connected to my system. The question I would like to ask is should I remove the power cables of all but the main system drive? I have heard that if one install Windows 7 on the main drive, it writes some files to the second drive. If the second drive should fail, the system will no longer boot because it would be looking for the files on the second drive. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello friend. This video was superb and I re-installed windows without any hassle. My only problem I'm facing is when I go to my computer>hard drives, I only see the partition I created for the OS. Where is the rest of my storage space? I have a 500gb HDD but only used 60GB for the OS. Thanks! :)

You should've explained the Boot Drive process first before doing this :o And or just in case backing up your files before a re-install.

Please can you make a video on how to repair a windows xp using CD just like as you did with a fresh installation.

My situation: I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I bought the instalation disc for it and everything works fine. But since i have this for the past 3 years. My computer isn't as fast as it used to be. So i thought about reinstalling my whole Windows 7 Home Premium. But i have a small problem. Since I have this for 3 years now. I can't find my instalation disc. Really stupid by me. My question: Is there any way to totally reset/reinstall my Windows 7 without the instalation disc. I do NOT care about the files that i have on it. So i don't want any backups. Thanks for reading. Let's say I have windows 8.1 on a disk I burned the Iso onto it and I have a computer with no os how can I transfer the os from the disk to the HDD and be able to boot into it

is there a specific reason why one might partition thier harddrive?

so once you have created a partition you can just click on next with you ever clicking on Format? when would someone need to click format?

What would happen if you hit the enter.key during install? Great tutorial still. My current version has been damaged by viruses and I want to overwrite it.

I found the problem though some search from either youtube or google. When u find the location what driver u are missing you can then download the driver u need though the internet. if it is a internet driver u are missing then get it download from another computer

I am trying to reinstall Window 7 but after I select boot from CD and press any key to start. CD drive spins up but nothing appears on the screen to continue the installation.

My harddrive is 300gb, but when I followed this video and did a clean install, it says I only have 20gb harddrive now.

if youre having problems finding your drivers, i recommend you a freeware software called driverpack solution. it will find all necessary drivers for your pc. next time youre planning on reinstalling windows, backup your drivers and put them in flash drive.

i have problem... after selecting language and clicking next it says that it did not detected CD with windows but i have the cd in the laptop and when i check on computer i can see the win7 dvd
