Wow, I am so happy to find this video......I cannot find anyone to install my thermostat and I found this.......I am 77 years old and feel like I could do this alone......at the 5:02 about mark......I was watching how you attach the little wires back onto the screw.......and when you do that most technical part you fly with super fast speed and I can't focus on what you are doing......I tried to slow it down and your hands cover the spot also......can you fit this.........and I feel like I could fix mine myself and not have to pay 300.00 to the Electric Company.......thanks for posting this......wish it was slower......I know how to speed up, but I do not know how to slow it down......thanks again.....

You will need a 3/32" screw driver to use on the 7 screws inside the unit....mine needed a flat head only and I got a 3/32" from Dollar Tree....and it worked great....

Nice install video, Im not having any luck anywhere else so I'm going to ask here ,I have a white Rodgers thermostat model #1f79 it does not show the adjustment temp number and won't turn on the heat or ac, idk what to do

Here's my question: if we shut down the power at the fuse box, how is that device still showing the temp even when the batteries were removed? I am going to be replacing mine very soon and figured I would ask. I understand that if power was not shut down it might affect the units the thermostat is controlling.

Did your red wire connect to the RH or RC ? I just can't seem to get mine to work. I hope you see this soon. It's freezing here (Michigan 🥶)

Hi, was wondering if you recommend turning it off when you leave the house or do you keep it going?

My wires don't seem to match up with this product. For example my red wire is on the place of the Green terminal. Does that matter? Should I keep the placement the same? Or re connect the wires to the correct letter on the terminal? I've never done this before if you can't tell lol Any advice would help!

Where do I connect the c wire?

My only complaint so far about this thermostat is that the tiny tiny holes above the screws (green area) @ 3:52 .....are so small that you have to work to get your proper wire into them and then the wire breaks off.......this messed me up big time....

Even though it's low voltage, should you not turn the breakers off..

How do I get the cover off?

All I wanted to know was how to remove the face of the thermostat and you completely skipped that important piece of information.
