This video shows you how to replace the batteries in your household thermostat. This should be very similar from model to model of different thermostats, and is quite simple to do!
Thanks so very much for instructions on changing batteries for my WHITE RODGERS! Much appreciated! My son-In-law found your RU-vid VIDEO! GOD BLESS YOU!
Just want to give a big thank you my parents are old and couldn't figure it out and I gave it a shot and the face covered didn't want to come off I didn't want to break it I watch this video pulled a little harder came off very easy changed the batteries no problem thank you so much for the easy video that's why I love RU-vid so much 🔥🔥🔥
I'm having the same problem. I replaced the batteries on mine but it hasn't turned the A/C on. It just has a display of 72 on the left side of the screen and 70 on the right side.
I live in my house 10 years and only now I see indication LO on my thermostat, exactly the same model like in your vid. Never new it has batteries. How it's possible that batteries run for that many years? Another question: if it's on batteries why during the power outage it doesn't work?
I had to replace the batteries but now the screen in wonky (half-readable) -- I initially thought cheap batteries so I went and bought some brand-new expensive batteries and the same thing happens. Any clues? Is it just the screen going bad?
Possibly, these type of screens are very sensitive to pressure, you didnt happen to for instance, press your thumb into the screen while trying to remove the faceplate, did you?
@@RobSomeKnowledge No pressure was put on it. Everything seems to be working otherwise. If I up and down the temp, the screen sometimes goes blank. I just don't know what temp I am setting the ac for.
Ah I see. In that case, yes most likely just the screen going bad. It was perfectly fine before the battery replacement? Just seems like a really big coincidence it happens to go bad right when you change the batteries. Regardless, you could use this as a perfect time to upgrade to a smart thermostat. Check with your local utility provider, I know in my area, a few times a year they actually offer free smart thermostats or majorly discounted to encourage people to be more energy efficient.
Really depends on different things, like is it just the display coming on, or is there a backlight as well, how often is that backlight turning on, etc,etc
Is the heat set to higher than the ambient temperature in the room? Or the number the thermostat is displaying? If so then there may be a problem with your actual furnace
My AC unit doesn't work now after I switched the batteries. The backlight on the thermostat doesn't come on anymore and the AC unit doesn't do anything when I change the thermostat settings.
I changed the batteries but mine still don’t work. The temp still shows even with the batteries out and doesn’t change when I change them. None of the functions work.
