Thanks for the video! Love my boots. Quick tip* a drill bit holder is 1/4” so no need for a socket adapter and socket if all you guys have is a bit holder, just remove Phillips tip and go for it.
I’m going to Lowe’s Or Home Depot. Bout $5 later, done n done. I like the boots, but not forking out $100 on studs that will be lost. I’ll do that on flies 😂😂😂😂
I have these freestones and I even used aquaseal on screws like Simms says you should and I shed loose an aluminum cleat just about every other time I go out. The sole is not up to the task of holding screws properly.
Simms is a rip off, $34.95 for 10 star cleats and you need twenty do do the job as they specify, 10 starcleats per shoe. that comes to 3.50 each cleat not including tax and shipping. Hey, forget about it I am not buying anything Simms again.
Depends on where you are fishing. Where I go is big slippery rocks so they’re definitely required for traction. You can always buy them and give them a try before purchasing the studs
Hey man funny you ask. I wore these on the salmon river in NY which is big slippery boulders and I lost two of those cleats. Happened to be the those.. wonder if others have the same issue.
I just got mine, and ready to put the cleats and studs on, used your video as my go by, thanks for the input, I will either leave those two open or toss a stud in there
@@reelfishnetwork try using aquaseal adhesive on the screws when installing like Simms suggests. I still loose cleats but its more like 1 every other trip.
I bought Korkers and loved them but had to stop wearing them because they run narrow and with my wide feet by the end of the day my feet were killing me. I sold them to a fellow and he didn't make sure the soles were installed properly and lost one in a mucky area on a stream.
