In this video I show how to install the last few rows of laminate or vinyl plank. I share several tricks that will make your installation alot easier.

Taking the lip off the joint for the last thin strip, and then super glueing it, brilliant. I spent hours fighting with that row and a pull bar, hammered the thing to pieces. This is brilliant. Thanks!

I will soon be at this stage of MY flooring job at a Duplex apartment owned by myself and Mother. I like the use of the tapping board. Female end left as is and male end removed. This way you will not deform the delicate MDF "tang" so you can easily tap your flooring together.

First, before starting installing laminated floor get yourself a good knee pads( not cheap one)...its more Important than the job itself . Once you knees are affected without having a proper protection, very difficult to get them back as before

Been in the industry since I was a little kid, I noticed we work very similar on a lot of things, glad to see you using a linoleum knife we call em banana knives, but yea that thing is like an extension of my hand couldn't live without it. We use it to wedge in end pieces just like you do in the video, so many uses to even mention though. You're prob the only flooring guy making videos on youtube I don't roll my eyes at.

It's like this guy looked thru my phone or some virtual reality CPU program. Where he knew the type of situation I'm in and told me ideas. I have square pieces to fill in places. Each piece bends if needed. Or can be snapped off. Like every inch flexes. Thanks for your info I gathered a great idea to complete my first Project.

I wish some of the "floor installers" will swallow their "pride" and watch your video. They can learn so much from your installation. Not just this part of installation, but all the others and what tools to use. I just have 2 bedroom floors installed, but the last piece of plank is cut too short and you can see the hole/gap even with the shoe molding on. He complained the planks use are difficult to install, and breaks easily. The same laminate floor I have on the ground floor, twice bigger than what he was doing. Old school and didn't like being watched. He taps right onto the plank with 'something. Not sure if its a mallet or something. Just intimidating when called on some corrections.

If you had a 1/2inch gap going toward the shower step, what would you recommend? a T mold cut to make a 90 degree? or a reducer? trying for a clean look.

Love your vids, Joel, but what I'd hoped for here was how to install the last few rows on a wall that is already trimmed. I'm having a devil of a time pulling back the last row planks after they are trimmed and glued, and hoped you might have a trick for that.

Hey Joe….love your videos…was watching how to install last few rows, and you showed trimming the male and female ends with your mini plane and said you would show how to do lvp with rubber backing, but never saw how to do it….I would think plane would bind on rubber..what’s the secret?
