Excellent explanation. Worked right out the box. The wiring colors matched this video. Just wonder how to stop the tank gauge from flashing as I have no sending unit in the tank. Maybe use a resistor (between 32 and 566 Ohm) between the Blue/White wire and ground. Any comments are great - just have to experiment with that.
Great movie Do you know if it is possible to program initial odo mileage? If my bike has 25k Miles, is it possible on this speedo to program initially 25k on display?
Hiya. Thank you for the video. Mine always stays on even if the key is pulled out. Can you explain to me what i do with the Black positive wire. Thanks
Speedo seems to be a dodgy one for me I've set distance and amount of magnets, it's wired up. Anything else I should be looking out for/common mistakes? Never seen one of these had no instructions wired it up with a multimeter as oem dash was also missing. Ty for all tips if you have any for me 👍👍
I've had the same issue with mine, it wasn't working. After many headaches it came down to the magnets. Only one side will active the sensor. Try turning them round and see how you get on
Hello! I need your help! I have an MMB speedometer with digital display for the kilometers ,to my harley 79 and i have a serious problem.I start the ride if i push the button to reset trip 1 or trip 2 when i turn the bike off and start again the speedometer loses all the measurements!!!!! Today i started with 6.642 klm and after i reset trip at the gas station i had 7531 klm when i reached home.It loses the measurements when i push the button.I cant understand if its a wiring problem or the speedometer is faulty
Hey, its probably cause you dont have a wire straight from the battery + connected to the meter, this is needed to store the data even when ignition key is turned off
you've gotta add a wire into the 9 Pin connector leading all the way down to the coil and attach the wire to the part of the coil lead with the Black/Yellow wire going to it. that's where the tach will pick up the RPM of the GY6 engine. you'll also have to set it up for the amount of pistons and stroke like he did in the video above
@@hre2motorltd178how would you do that? I’m having issues where I installed a new battery, filled my tank up and now the only time the fuel gauge tries to work is when I’m going down the road. Which makes sense for the resistance when the motor is under load.
I assume the way it works is it recognizes the spark signal as 1 revolution since its a 4 stroke engine(ignition timing). Setting it to 2 stroke just halves the count.
