It is much easier to explain differences with a phone call, remember you get what you pay for and the hertz sx165neo are the clearest/most efficient speakers we carry along with the highest power handling. Call us at 1-844-30AUDIO

On the 14+ thumb controls are preset, quick press left or right on the left controls to change track or seek up and down, on either set of controls does volume, pressing in on the home button changes sources and pressing in on the right controls center button mutes

We do plan on it but first need a customer with a Police bike to line up an install. Thank you for watching and God bless!

We do not usually install the mic, it does not pick up well while riding, if you are going to stop to answer the call you might as well use the phone

@@volunteeraudio I would have rather driven the 3:45 to Oliver Springs, but I got it done and it worked 😥. It took me all day, mostly because of a trip to Home Depot and the six screws that required the wobble were a pain. Wish I knew the tools needed before I started. I would have liked to see how the microphone was installed. Personally, Im not super handy but I always get it done. I would not have done it, had I known how long it was going to take me. Regardless, great video and effective for people that are good with this type of stuff, I was a bit frustrated with my skill set and tools, not the video.

@@ChristopherRuhmins it would have taken all day to drive to us, have it done and return home, every time you take on a task like this your skill set gets better too

Yes you need to remove the screen protector

We do ship to Australia, this radio will charge a phone while plugged into the usb, it will turn off Bluetooth and use Apple CarPlay or android auto while plugged into the usb

We do around the windshield with the wiring and use a double sided 3m tap to secure the mic base down

This video is about the Soundstream radio and hertz sx165neo speakers. Both are great components and the speakers are a huge improvement over the stock Harley speakers

That is the screen protector, tab should allow you to pull the clear screen protector off

If it is the HD Audio by Rockford this radio will not turn on the amps

Is this something that soundstream is working in so that that the radio will turn on these amps ?

The radio will power rear speakers without an amp but will be much more powerful with an amp, the amp video will be live Thursday

The microphone comes with the radio and is in the box

Our amp install video will launch tomorrow but it uses our plug n play amp setup that uses a hertz 600 watt amp. Some hogtunes amplifiers are preset and have no adjustments. This radio does have stronger outputs than stock so the gain will most likely have to be adjusted down on the amplifier. Samantha is who you spoke to, she is very knowledgeable and gave you the correct information about adjusting your amplifier. We also have a video showing how to properly set gains on your amp if they are adjustable

I am not sure if the Rockford sub amp will take low level inputs

We put the maestro next to the storage compartment

Up and down on each side does volume up and down, right control when pressed in does mute, left control when pressed in changes source, left and right on left control seek forward and seek back

@@saleenguy25 it goes from radio to your Rockford amp harness, then the other side of the Rockford harness plugs into the factory radio harness

I have not, I have been told the dim setting is still very bright at night, a future software update may allow a dimmer setting. The setting detects exterior lighting so you would need to simulate day and night to test setting

@@volunteeraudio ok thx. I’ll wait and hopefully an update come soon and fix it. I have to manually switch the maps to night or day depending on the time of day I’m riding

@@gafieboi23 yes the setting in Apple CarPlay will only change based off phone settings, it is not ever going to change automatically since the radio cannot control color of map background. The radio can only dim the screen brightness

Doesn’t change with usb drive either. I’ll stay posted for the next update

Apple CarPlay has its own settings menu where you manually select light or dark mode, it cannot tell if the headlight is on, it gets info from your phone or the setting you turn on

@@volunteeraudio There are only options for automatic or dark mode. Mine is in automatic but my CarPlay on this device is always in dark mode. No problems in my other cars.
