These thin concrete bricks are super cheap to make, and highly customizable. Best of all, they are super thin overlay, and you don't need to rip out your wall and upset the landlord :)

Oh, I love this! Can the bricks go right over the existing wall? Should I put up cement board first instead?

Can you list all the ways you can cut the veneers. I have a chop saw knippers and a ryobi grinding wheel. I’m not sure what u used it was to quick. Was there a certain blade on your saw?
@GlobMarble

You can cut concrete with a diamond blade, do not cut it with anything else

Is it cheaper to make them with everything you used than buying pre-made panels or brick

can you tell me what you spray the mold with before putting the material. and can it be oil. thanks in advance.
@GlobMarble
@GlobMarble 3 месяца назад
It is release agent, it is like oil but does not stain the concrete. Links to all the tools and materials are in the description of the video

I want to add blond veneer bricks to the wood in between the existing bricks to give me house a 100% brick look. Incidentally, what does 611/1, 611/2, 611/3, 611/4 & 611/S-4 mean? Also, how do you fill the corner molds since part is VERTICAL?
@GlobMarble
@GlobMarble Год назад
Those are model numbers. Each model has unique bricks you can cast so they don't look so repetitive. Check this video out for the corner bricks- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6G4ODpPh8Ik.html

@@GlobMarble ok, how much for the full set that Amazon has for $482.54 ? Also, for exterior use I don’t think thinset mortar is going to stick to house wrap, so what is your recommendation? I’m thinking maybe Liquid Rubber or Red Guard as a vapor barrier.
@GlobMarble
@GlobMarble Год назад
Yes that is possible! Also it will be cheaper to buy from us directly instead of on amazon- globmarble.com/old-brick-stone-mold-bs-611.html

@GlobMarble

It is a material much stronger than silicon called polyurethane. The molds can be used thousands of times if cared for properly

one thing In my country (iran), they do not know what superplasticizer is. can you help me??? what i should do??? Do you know a brand that is well known in Asia?
@GlobMarble
@GlobMarble 3 года назад
Superplasticizer is a water reducer. If you add too much water the concrete will be much weaker, but if you add too little it becomes unworkable. If you add superplasticizer the concrete will still be wet enough to use but you will need much less water. In general it makes concrete much stronger. We don't know any brands in Asia, but we ship it worldwide :) here is a link- globmarble.com/concrete-additive-water-reducer-super-plasticizer.html

I want to use thin brick around my fireplace which has old 70's marble around it. I want to glue the thin bricks to the marble, can I do that? If so what should I use to glue it to the marble? Thank you!
@GlobMarble
@GlobMarble 3 года назад
I would recommend using construction adhesive, but first you will need to sand the marble down. If it is too glossy, no amount of any adhesive will properly stick

Looks great! I am in the process of doing this project but not sure if I should put adhesive and brick on plain sheetrock. Would this be ok to install on plain wall and would you recommend starting from the top or bottom?
@GlobMarble

You can do this with construction adhesive. And always start from the bottom!

That was fun to watch! The extra mortar removing part was very satisfying! 😄👌🏼 My 1914 brick cottage has a pinkish mortar and i wonder if i could get a similar mortar color... Installing spot lights is a great idea! I need a designer to help with that.
@GlobMarble

Thanks!! It would be possible if you used a white mortar and added some of our oxide pigments into it to get a pink hue :)

Awesome video, it really helped. What do you use to initially stick brick to the wall, silicone or construction adhesive? Is there a difference?
@GlobMarble

Thanks! You could use either but honestly I prefer construction adhesive because it is sturdier and not as flexible.

How well do these bricks hold up outside if you were to use them as a siding on the lower half of a wall?

The hold up just fine, that's exactly what they were made for!
@MillaloveHandmade

Thank you for this. Very interested in obtaining one of those moulds. How do you think they would hold up on a floor with light to moderate usage? Would the super plactisizer ? Help with the strength?
@GlobMarble
@GlobMarble 4 года назад
Technically you can, but they are very thin and are made to be installed on walls. usually people use paving stones for floors- globmarble.com/concrete-stone-mold-brick-ss-5503.html
@jessicabond9179
@jessicabond9179 3 года назад
Can the bricks be used as flooring indoors?
@GlobMarble
@GlobMarble 3 года назад
These bricks are designed to be on a wall due to their thinness. Technically they could be installed and last for a long time if installed properly and on a perfectly even floor, but I wouldn't recommend it. We also sell paver brick molds but I don't know if they would be a good thickness for you - globmarble.com/concrete-stone-mold-brick-ss-5503.html

@GlobMarble

Thanks! Type S mortar is a premixed bag with a perfect amount of sand to give you a nice texture. Not too smooth, not to gritty. Here is the exact bag I used- www.walmart.com/ip/40LB-Type-S-Mortar-Mix/145378623

Can you use the adhesive to attach to stucco?
@GlobMarble

Yes but you have to be sure that the stucco is clean, and in good condition. If it is crumbling the bricks wont hold for very long.
