Extremely helpful, appreciate you taking the time to share information that made installation much easier, since the included SO CALLED instructions are a complete JOKE. Again, thank you sir for your efforts and time.
Just subscribed to the channel. I just bought an 11ft Saturn inflatable with a 9.9 Mercury. I'm waiting on my wheels to arrive so I can install them. Thanks for the info.. can you still fold the boat up good with the transom mounts? Also looks like you're in my old stomping grounds, the South Bay... Keep the content coming.
Thanks Hal, very helpful video. I have the same setup; Newport dinghy and wheels. What size outboard are you mounting on it? I am going to space my wheels as far apart as I can in order to have room for the motor.
yesh just pull from slow at the dock getting it and bring it to the parking spot not highway use.. thats what i do with mine depending where i dock launch at
@@teammahaldotcom4264 Thanks for the reply bro. I've installed a pair of wheels today. Altho I'm pretty sure you made a mistake. I've had kind of the same setup with instructions and it stated clearly that the rubber mat/seal has to go on the outside of the boat between the mirror and the wheels. Not on the inside it has absolutely no function there.
You're as risk averse as me, which is why you want locking nuts. However, since you're an aircraft mechanic I thought you'd use titanium screws, washers and nuts to save weight!
@@teammahaldotcom4264 I know, I was taking the mickey. I know a couple of aircraft engineers and one of them actually used titanium screws to build a kitchen cabinet! 😂
