seeing your fingers that close to the table saw made my belly flip. 😱 -- I've seen horror stories. besides that, everything is looking great! can't wait to see the finished space

Couple notes always put the head casing on first, and back cut and cope the corners as miters will open up over time. Not being a troll just offering advice from a 30 year construction professional. Also great work I love to see people try out projects themselves. It’s not as easy as everyone thinks it is.

Also I am jealous of how nice your shop will be, mine is in the garage and a hot mess as I have way too much stuff. @@HomeWithStefani

??? When you say "back cut and cope the corners as miters will open up"... are you referring to the floor trim? Because she didn't miter the window casing corners? I think you were talking about the floor trim but hard to tell from your comment.

@@wickedwinnie yes the base boards should be cut at a 45 then back cut with a coping saw so that as the room expands and contract the joint stays closed. When you case an opening you always start with the head casing installing it with a 1/4” reveal on the jamb. Then cut a 45 on the side piece flip it over and hold the side pieces and mark at the tip of the head casing and cut a 90. That way no measuring is required and you can make sure you close the joint on the 45. That is how I was taught 40 years ago by my grandfather who was a carpenter for his whole life.

It must be a lot of work putting these videos together (planning, setting up, filming, doing the actual work on the project, reviewing, editing dubbing in sound, etc.). Your attention to detail shows in your projects as well as your videos and makes me think that I might be able to do 1 or 2 of the simpler ones. Thanks

I've started replacing all the trim and casing around our 80s house. You wouldn't think replacing it with something modern would make a huge difference but it does 😍 watching all those gaps disappear with caulk is 👌 I use baby wipes to get the cleanest finish which is quite wasteful. I noticed you using a wet finger and rag, was there anything in the water to help remove it? Love this project and I'm enjoying watching it come together 🙂

I hate to be "that person" but I'm going to be anyway. Please, please, please get a push block for your table saw and use it EVERY time. I know it was just a "small project" but if that wood in any way binds to the saw blade it could literally pull your hand onto the blade. I absolutely say that with your best interest at heart... not to be a complainer 💜

There actually was a push stick on top of the fence, which she ran her hands over to move the wood through the saw from behind the fence. Scary/brave?🤔
