How To Install Truck Hood Insulation and Liner (First Gen Dodge Ram, Ramcharger)

Is your truck's hood insulation in terrible shape or missing?! In this video I show you how to remove your hood and install an insulation kit. My truck is a 1987 Dodge Ram D150 (#theolddodge) but the process and basics are the same on any pickup, SUV or car. If you have a First Generation Dodge Ram or Ramcharger like mine, this is the exact kit from ‪@Lmctruck1‬ I used in the video:

Hey I love these videos man, by any chance if you ever have a problem with your window regulator could you make a video on it? I found a spring on the bottom of my door and my window won’t go down or up or even stay in place properly

I'd recommend the Haynes manual... it'll likely have that in there. I've had to take the door apart once when my lock stopped working (before I started the channel).

Hi Jason ...When I purchased my 1992 Dodge D250 , It never had a cowl seal in it. Which bothers me to pop the hood and see my precious baby all soaking wet after it rains. Could you please recommend me some special seal to eliminate the leak in case of rain. Thanks for your recommend

I appreciate you doing these videos. Dad's old '86 D150 has come back to me, and I am developing a plan to return it to glory! On this kit, was there any space between the liner and the insulation underneath? I'm wondering if a second layer of insulation might be possible for additional sound attenuation?

Perhaps you could help me locate door panel retainer clips. 89 ramcharger, base, 2 wheel, 318. Lmc didnt have them last time i checked. Typical parts stores are a bust also. Please??
